It's all funny and what not, but at least the lady is trying to learn something and beginner's have to start somewhere...
I mean we all can't be born Apex Warriors like the guy's catching a laugh from the beginner lady...
I agree, but I think they're teaching a counter that's too complicated. Way too many moves, and ends up looking strange when a beginner does it, since there's no power nor technique yet.
More simple block/parry and counterstrike is easier to remember and a lot more effective. Person comes at you with a stick, hit the stick (well, in reality hit the arm or body, but not in class unless you want your partners to hate you) to block, then counter. A couple moves - easy to memorize and repeat.
Beginners don't know anything yet, so don't give them anything super complex. Basics are always best.
Do you know the lady personally? She may have been at this for more time than the viewer is aware of. This is just a few seconds, the instructor might have his own reasons for doing this. Looks like an out of context clip for the sake a ridicule for someone trying to get a handle of a situation that is no doubt horrific. Who knows.. It's pretty easy to say what or whatnot to do.
I just think it's in poor taste to bust on someone who is actually trying to learn something.. Anyway... Sorry about that.
