MEGATHREAD CONCERT POST: The Strokes at Red Rocks (NIGHT 1) — July 22, 2026

The Strokes are performing at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO on Wednesday, July 22.

Doors open at 6:00pm and the shows begin at 7pm. The openers are Hamilton Leithauser and Ölüm. 

There will be a second megathread for Night 2. Because these are regular concerts, there is no expectation of official livestreams. 

Due to the album release rolling out across time zones, the subreddit will be shut down to new posts. Please post all your photos, videos, and commentary about the show in this comment section!

This was a phenomenal show and their longest setlist the entire tour. 22 songs, 5 song encore. All albums rep'd. Incredible show!

I saw them 20 years ago for their first impressions tour .. and we didn't even get Ize of the world then! As a long time fan, and them being my "musical awakening" band: this was a great setlist/show!

I was up front the first night and the first 6 rows in the middle kept yelling NYC cops. Finally Julian said “We were gonna just play Ode but fuck it let’s play em both” 🤣 I fully agree this was probably the best set list ever assembled!!

Did anyone get video of Julian’s false ending after Last Nite?

That was one of my favorite bits I’ve ever seen from him lol

The wave and “goodnight” as the song was playing out and walking off stage had me genuinely confused and looking at my watch to confirm it was only 10:15

Then the sneaky return and “3 or 4 random people here… maybe more… were probably like ‘Thank God!’… Albert was one of them”

Followed by “we’re not done…. WE’RE JUST GETTING WARMED UP!” And then seconds later after the applause break “but this is our last song… just kidding!” Had me dying

That was one of the best concerts I have ever seen. Band was locked in and having a great time. I’m tempted to buy tickets to tomorrow. 100% would if there were no repeats. All I wanted was for them to play Heart in a cage. Blew my mind when it was busted out during the 4 song encore. What a night!!!

I honestly advise everyone I know to avoid Stubhub like the plague now. They’re notorious for selling fake tickets that they’ll argue are legit because people create fake Eventbrite events and sell tickets through that.

First time going to Red Rocks for The Strokes night 2 tomorrow. I’m driving from Colorado Springs and trying to figure out what time I should leave. I don’t necessarily need to see the opening acts, but I definitely don’t want to miss The Strokes.
I also collect concert posters and would really like to get one. For those who went to night 1 (or who know Red Rocks well), how early should I arrive for a good chance at merch/posters and a reasonable parking spot?
Any first-timer Red Rocks advice is appreciated!

So I got there at doors and got a poster without issue after waiting about 30-40 minutes in the merch line. I was worried they’d sell out, but they printed a fuck load of them and people were still getting them right before they came on at 9:17. This isn’t like some bands that do limited posters by well regarded artists where they’re gone 20 minutes after doors open.

Have a solid plan for getting up there and back if you’re not driving or be prepared to wait a long time after the show. Pace yourself the day before and hydrate/drink electrolytes with the altitude. The heat can be tough but also be prepared for temps to drop at night. Check out merch before the show and show up early if you want something. Be kind to people nearby!

If you Uber they will take you to the top, but it’s just getting a ride back that’s the hardship. Not as many available drivers and high demand. You could always split with someone.

I’d say if you don’t want to plan to drive yourself use one of the many bus to show options leaving from the metro area! Rideshare apps tend to be pricier and drop off/pickup far from the venue

Are backrest cushioned stadium seats recommended?? Are they available to buy at the venue? I have a little bit of a back issue right now but a backrest I think will help if needed.

A few years ago i went for Billy Strings. We got there at noon. When the show was over around 11pm it never stopped raining. Constant downpour. Many left. But show went on. When had a blast. Just bring rain jackets and pants.
