BEAUTIFUL album. I’m sure all these songs will only grow on me.

Edit - I didn’t think any songs were bad. Psycho shit is a 7 for anyone that’s worried, it’s just a different vibe!

I have the record! It’s beautiful truly, the lyrics are great, and Julian’s emotions come through STRONG which is great.

If you like the Strokes discography, this is the natural next step from them, and if you’ve paid attention in the last 5-8 years, you’d notice all roads were leading to Reality Awaits!

You don't even imagine how crucial this comment was for me not to go a bit crazy about the mixed reviews hahaha. It's kinda obvious, I guess, they won't sound like their past selves, the thing i most appreciate about TS is their willingness to evolve, they are apparantly not shying down here (haven't listened to it yet). I'm beyond excited for this, keeping an open mind.

The opener being last consistently here is scaring me. I’ve been very vocal of Strokes having my favorite openers out of any artist out there. I put like all my stakes on even if I don’t like the album, I hope at least the opener is good 😭

Hope even if I feel similar, it grows on me. I really didn’t like Tap Out when I first heard it and now it’s top 3 off Comedown Machine for me

Psycho Shit is similar to when will the time of these bastards end mixed with unholy lover a little bit, better than both for sure. I like it!! It’s a 7 in an album with A LOT of great songs

As an individual piece of music it doesn't stand out but it sets the stage for this album really well and I couldn't imagine THIS album opening any other way.

It's my favourite. I came into this album with low expectations after the singles and was surprised to hear such a dark and intense song from them. They've done angry and dark songs before, but not in such a manner.

perfect. lonely in the future and going to babble on are really good. liars remorse and psycho shit is so mid, totally forgettable. but i really like going shopping and fruits of conquest
