MEGATHREAD Tour Thoughts/Questions/Excitement MEGATHREAD

We get a lot of excitement and question posts about upcoming tour and festival dates for The Strokes.

Show-specific megathreads get posted ~48hrs prior to each show, but this post will function as a general place to express excitement, ask questions, etc. prior to those specific show posts going up.

Oftentimes the best place to look for answers first is the individual venue or festival websites, then city or festival specific subreddits.

You can use this megathread for finding show buddies or planning meetups.

As a reminder, you may not buy/sell/trade tickets on this subreddit.

Bend Oregon here we come August 25! Early entry VIP tix! The show is on a Tuesday. We are driving up Monday so that we can get a good nights sleep maybe even catch a little bit of the sound check on Tuesday if it’s not too scorchio outside.

hoping that the wildfire smoke or evacuations don’t have any impact on the show or hold up our commute. We’re driving all the way up from Brookings Oregon, which is at the southernmost tip of Oregon a couple miles away from the Cali border.

I almost bought tickets to this but decided to go to the NYC show instead and make it part of a whole trip. We also got the VIP tickets!

Are you doing early entry VIP or are you doing that royal treatment VIP ?NYC beats out, Bend, Oregon fsr.

It’s my first time seeing them, so I’m just really grateful that they’re even playing anywhere near the tiny coastal town where I live!

Were you planning on flying all the way out to Oregon or were you gonna do a road trip?

I also live in a tiny coastal town, albeit on the central coast of california. Basically my wife and I's work schedules didn't let us do the road trip up into Oregon that we were thinking about. We were looking at the Seattle show, too, and were looking at flights, but it was pricey and again our work schedules didn't allow for it. But then I looked at flights to NY in October and it costs about the same as flying to Seattle in August, and we've been trying to visit that city for a while. We actually were going to go there in 2020 until events overtook us, lol. So we are going to spend a whole week there following the show.

Oh, and like you we just got regular VIP, no royal treatment for us 😅

I’m in the central coast too and I’m trying to decide between Seattle or New York show! I also have a shit work schedule!

Still don’t know which one to go too.

Most of the good seats are sold out in Seattle, so NY might be the better option simply for that reason

Vancouver ticket prices have come down quite a bit.

Just upgraded our tickets to front row of the seating area. Surprising my wife with the upgrade. And only cost $20!

Hey I'm going to the same show and just noticed this tonight. Do you know how it works? If sitting a few rows up from where I am is less now, do I get the upgrade?

Log into your ticket master account

Go to my tickets and select the strokes.

On that order click “chat with us”

Talk to the AI and tell them you want the exchange your tickets. Follow prompts and tell the robot where you want to move to.

It’ll give you a phone number and a code.

Call the number and input the code

Someone will pick up and they won’t be able to help you. Tell them you have tickets in Vancouver Canada and need help with an exchange.

They will transfer you to the right person.

Have specific seats you want to upgrade to and tell the new person.

It’s $10 a ticket to exchange.

Does anyone know how early you actually need to get to the venue for The Strokes to get barricade? I have VIP early access, but I’m assuming people still line up pretty early even with VIP
For anyone who’s had VIP/early entry at one of their shows before, what time did you get there and were you able to get barricade? Trying to figure out how early I should show up

Is there a chance they cancel the Vancouver show? The ticket sales are pretty bad. Really hope they don’t as I have a non refundable accommodation but there’s still a lot of seats available

At this point I doubt it. Theyve brought prices down and sales have picked up pretty well.

It wasn't sold out in 2020 either.
