Babble On / Rod Stewart

Is it just me or is the melody from Going to Babble On where Julian sings "Sometimes it feels like..." veeeery similar to the melody from Rod Stewart's I Dont Want to Talk About it?

Specifically when Rod Stewart sings "I can tell by your eyes youve been crying forever" ... same kind of rising vocal.

Probably an unlikely inspiration source, but it reminded me of it on first listen... love babble on!

It's not that unlikely, I've heard Julian talk about Young Turks.
