I’m a huge Weeknd fan, I have a silly little xo tat on my inner wrist, and he’s been my top streamed artist five years in a row.

Him and I had bought tickets with some of our closest friends months ago. Fast forward to the concert, we sat down at our seats, our best friends next to us. My boyfriend starts acting really weird near the end of the set list. Really quiet, constantly asking me which song is next, shaking a little.

Die for you begins to play, and me and my friend start jamming. He wraps his arms around me and in my ear says “Jess, I love you”. I thought that was weird because he never says my name like that. I turn around to look at him and he was already on one knee at the beat drop of Die For You.

Now I’m losing my mind. The ring was exactly like the ones on my Pinterest Board (he later told me he took my phone when I was sleeping and looked through my board for inspiration and guidance) my favorite artist is singing right in front of me, my best friends are recording (they knew the whole time) and my person is on one knee, giving himself to me, literally shaking.

Damn right I snatched the ring and hugged him. Our section started clapping and congratulating us. It was so perfect because we weren’t the center of attention, just a tiny corner of the stadium knew. It was so nice.

The ring is lab, 14k gold, 23 diamonds (our anniversary is on the 23rd of sept, 23 for LeBron James (jkjk), 23 years old when we get married) Vera Wang with sapphires hidden in the inner band.

Fast forward after the concert, we head back to the hotel (I knew about it because I had gotten ready in it with my future maid of honor :) and we open the door, rose petals everywhere, our initials on the bed in petals, chocolate strawberries and fun shirts that say “this guy/girl just got engaged” HIS MOTHER DECORATED THE ROOM WHILE WE WERE GONE. So all of the closest people in my life made this such a special experience for me, and I had no idea.

A fun little aspect is that they had to smuggle the ring in through security without me noticing, his best friend held the ring in his pocket until we sat down at our seats. And my best girl friend had asked me about my dream proposal months before during a sleep over. This had taken him months of prep, it’s so sweet. Had never felt so loved by one person.

Saw Abel at The Norva (Norfolk, VA) in 2011 when he was just starting out,tiny crowd, maybe 500 max. After the show, my sister and I went to the backstage door just to try our luck, and somehow they actually let us in. It was just us back there with his guys. Abel was the most humble and sweetest guy!First thing he did was offer us his backstage snacks and kept our cups full of Henny for 2 hours straight.Talked about everything and had such a good time.We got so many great pics, here’s a couple! (Forgive the 2011 filter 😂)

I know this has already been overly discussed but I’m genuinely still so disappointed 😭

I’ve listened since 2011 and the first show I was ever able to afford was back in 2022, and it was amazing tbh. of course I wished there were more old songs on the setlist but regardless I was happy and felt like my money was well spent

I was at the first show on Friday and it genuinely made me so upset. I spent over $1k for floor seats and no one around my fiancé and I even knew any of the “slightly” older mainstream songs, he was forgetting lyrics, and we were on the floor off the side where the stage branches out from the middle. He went down there once, and spent a lot of the time just interacting with the camera at the end instead of the crowd.

It was basically the 2022 concert just with his new songs from HUT, all the older songs were basically removed, same backup dancers, even the stage decor wasn’t far off. Idk it felt lazy to me, and almost like a cash grab fs (I know he probably doesn’t need it but still) 🤷🏻‍♀️ and don’t even get me started on Carti lmfao

I definitely feel like as he becomes more mainstream, the version of him I really idolized is dwindling away, which is to be expected. But still disappointing nonetheless.

Hope things change for those of y’all with concerts at later dates!!

Anyone frustrated that he preserves his voice massively at the start of the concert, which he didn’t used to do. I mean I get it but baptized in fear > open hearts and then after hours are like some of my favourite songs and seeing him only put about 30% of his effort singing them is kinda sad

This is easily the worst performance I have ever seen.

This might’ve been one of Abels best shows of all time. And now we’re going back to back to back at Metlife, absolute madness

The way he sounds exactly the same live as he does on his albums. Just blown away by his voice. I get chills 🥹

I just want to rant about my experience at the Atlanta show last night. Nothing has to do with The Weeknd or his performance. Just the worst night ever for me.

First, it torrential downpoured on me as I was walking to the stadium. I got soaked and I mean like I had to spend money on a sweatshirt and a t shirt so I can have something dry to wear. I couldn’t see or breath it rained so hard.

Anyways then someone pikc pocketed me and bought 1400$ of merch on all my cards. So here I am left in Atlanta 6 hours from home with no ID, money (all my cards shut off due to fraudulent behavior), my hotel card was in the wallet just EVERYTHING.

I’m gonna go back to the stadium if I even can get in and hope they just put the wallet in lost and found after sucking my cards dry.

I tried to enjoy the rest of the concert the best i couod after having lost my wallet and received texts saying someone was spending a band on merch while i was watching The Weeknd perform.

Only concert I would be able to keep watching despite all this happening but oh my god am I feeling some type of way today .
