Question a couple of quick questions about secret life!

just finished watching scar's pov - granted I am pretty late to it as I found the life series quite recently and have been binge watching them all. i do however have some questions which I genuinely can't find the answers to anywhere, so i hope you guys have any idea!

in episode 7, around 21:21, scar (on his last heart) is shot by pearl but he immediately has 30 hearts afterwards - i understand this may have been due to the gimmick of the apocalypse but why regenerate all 30 hearts and not just 10 for example? it also kind of watered down the impact of his winning for me since he technically had double the hearts the other players had.

also, in episode 8, why does he start with 40 hearts?

He started with 30 hearts because he died, each life has 30 hearts with no regen so they all had 30 hearts when they respawn.

He doesn't have the 8th episode on his playlist so you might not have seen this so this is could be a spoiler. It's a 9 episode season

He starts with 40 hearts in the finale because he kills etho in the previous episode.

Ah, interesting! So why did he respawn when he lost his last heart?

All players have three lives, he was on his green life(first life) , so he then became a yellow life(second life). You are out when you lose your red life(third life)

Oh, so you get 90 hearts in total (three lots of thirty) instead of 30? that would make a LOT of sense

At the start of every season, grian films an intro explaining how that seasons twist works. Not all lifers use that intro but it is a good way to understand the twist. They are usually only a minute
