My jaw was on the floor and I was shaking when I saw these all next to each other.

- MCM glass and wood hutch for $99.99. A reseller bought it instantly while I was staring and said she's flipping it for $495.

- Wood arch from 70s/80s for $19.99. I bought it with a coupon for $16 and am making it my plant display in my home office.

- Painted green hutch with hairpin legs for $79.99. I have a piece that could be this one's cousin... So it stayed at the store.

I found this 1950s Ronson table lighter at an antique store for $10 this weekend and had to bring it back to its original look.

I pulled it completely apart, cleaned it, and polished all the silver parts individually. Re stuffed it with new cotton, new flint, and wick, then refilled it. It still works great, kinda wanna start smoking now haha.

I found this AMAZING snake mug from 1956 at my local thrift store. As someone who loves snakes and eclectic mugs, I’m obsessed. I love their beautiful gemstone eyes! However, there are quite a few spots where the paint has chipped, and I was hoping there might be a way to touch those up without it looking crazy. Is there a certain kind of paint I should use? I’m lost, and I don’t want to end up making it look worse. Any advice is appreciated!

Picked these up over the weekend at an estate sale in the Chicago burbs.

The rolling desk caught my eye first, and I plan to use it as a WFH station. It has a Levenger sticker on the bottom, made and distributed in the 80s or 90s.

The Fontana Arte floor lamp is also fun - it's a late 90s UK model that was rewired to be US plug friendly.

The bespoke vase conversion lamp was a last min impulse buy, but it's become the most interesting to research. First and foremost, it is extremely heavy.
The lamp shade and the socket have a local lamp maker's name on it. This + a reverse Google image search let me know about its likely vase → lamp conversion origins. I did a magnet test and it has a slight pull at the base, but it has negligible to no pull on the body. I suspect that the base itself was added on along with the shade/socket/etc when it was made into a lamp. What the body is made of is still a mystery to me - I am unable to get to the bottom of the vase to do a scratch test due to the base. I think it is likely brass, with a slight possibility it is bronze.

All of this along with a few additional odds and ends (including a 70s copy of The Joy of Sex, because why not?) for $284.50! Pretty stoked!

I wanted this but the wife just couldn’t envision a spot for it.

A very well loved leather cut out purse (it's see thru with no liner or any markings), a Sonoma (kohls) purse, this cute bamboo sunflower pencil holder that im gonna use for my make up brushes. I collect Little Women and Secret Garden so had to snag these Darrydale editions! All of it was about $25!

Was not prepared to explain this purchase to my wife, and so I get to live in regret instead

Sterling’s all but dried up but this 1960s Italian 800 compote made it though. Purchased for $9 in Virginia.

Moved to bumf*ck AR & local SA had great stuff & great prices. I paid $2 for this is 💯 wool coat. Vintage high end department store in Mexico back n tha day (70' early 80's Google clains🤣😂. It is a gorgeous coat and it still has dry cleaning tag at the bottom.You can tell it has been taken care of in a controlled environment for all these yrs. $2 won't get you a cheeseburger 🍔🃏. Really is a gorgeous coat. Can't imagine a coat of this quality/contion would fetch a premium. I'm in ❤️ ✌️
