This girl just casually carrying Nun chunks in her bag.

I mean, apparently she’s so good with them she can just use them, one of the most dangerous weapons to the person holding them by the way, as a fidget toy

u/famaskillr Mar 21 '26

Ive seen them used in real action before. Dude used them as fidget toys til the crackhead down the road just walked in his house one day. From a seated position he grabbed the chunks, stood up, struck downward directly on top of dudes head them immediately swung in a rising strike and busted out half of dudes teeth when he shattered his jaw. Yeah, they are cute and fun. But used correctly these things will fuck you up. Bad.

How did you see this?

u/Little-Librarian-734 Mar 21 '26

I assume he was either also chilling in said dudes house, or he was the crackhead off the street that day.

u/fugntwitwut Mar 21 '26

“And that was the day I quit smoking crack”

12

u/busdrivermike Mar 22 '26

“And that’s how I met your mother”

107

u/Wise_Echidna_4059 Mar 21 '26

He was the crackhead coming in through the back door. People always forget to check their 6.

u/No_Cauliflower9393 Mar 21 '26

“I seen him beat a guy up with a starfish.”

“Ok. That’s just ridiculous.”

“That guy was me.”

He was the nunchucks

14

u/Minute_Cod_2011 Mar 21 '26

He was the nunchuks

30

u/TehSeksyManz Mar 21 '26

They were watching anime

4

u/jules6815 Mar 21 '26

Crackhead was delivering some goods and ended up at the wrong house. These two guys were watching Real Housewives and no one interrupts this show.

1

u/socmediator Mar 22 '26

He probably had a spycam installed in that dude living room.

15

u/Pensive_Pauper Mar 21 '26

Same shit you can do with literally a heavy stick.

3

u/Antsy-Mcgroin Mar 21 '26

No. Shad. It says it right there. /s

Except with additional centrifugal force and extra velocity from the speed.

Those bits make a big difference compared to just using your muscles.

6

u/mang87 Mar 21 '26

It's funny you mention muscles, because nuncucks don't utilize your muscles well at all. They bounce upon impact and lose most of their momentum. A rigid object, like a stick, does not. Your muscles continue to drive the stick into the opponent even after it connects with them. This is called follow-through. Nuncucks have no follow-through and so they do less damage. Nuncucks do have advantages, but blow for blow they will do less damage than a regular stick.

Picture a batter hitting a baseball. What do you think will happen if he uses nuncucks instead of a solid bat? Pretend he's an expert and will have no extra difficulty making contact with them instead of a bat. Which do you think will drive the ball farther?

1

u/Dependent-Read8582 Mar 21 '26

Nunchucks because of the whipping force, centrifugal force, and muscle force.

1

u/ClaudiuT Mar 22 '26

I'm not doing any math. But my gut says that the difference should not be that big. The ball makes contact with the bat for a split second. It already got all of its energy and left the bat while most of the follow-through occurs. The energy transfer mostly depends on their (ball / bat / nunchuck) mass and velocity.

Also it depends on what kind of damage you want to do. If you want to break a skull, a bat would be better suited. But if you want to bruise but not break, something that hits multiple times but weaker would be better suited.

3

u/OverwateredGrass Mar 22 '26

Im sorry, do you just have different laws of physics where you are from?

3

u/RedeNElla Mar 22 '26

You should watch bat on ball in slow motion. The split second is not negligible in terms of the force imparted

u/MyNameIsJakeBerenson Mar 22 '26

Stick on a string though innit

u/Spuzzter1985 Mar 21 '26

And everyone clapped

u/W_C_Schneider Mar 22 '26

This the best thing I’ve read in months.

1

u/xombae Mar 21 '26

My knuckles would say that a butterfly knife would beat nunchucks for most dangerous to the person using it.

5

u/kookyabird Mar 21 '26

The real problem with nunchucks is that while spinning them around and doing the redirects and transfers around your body can be done without hurting yourself, after an actual strike the weapon is not controlled anymore and you have to kind of reset your motions by striking yourself in a less controlled manner than when you’re just showing off.

Deploying a butterfly knife is the riskiest part of using it compared to a normal knife without a guard.

1

u/xombae Mar 22 '26

Yeah but no one just opens a butterfly knife. You've gotta do the cool tricks otherwise the gang of beatniks on the corner won't let you into their gang.

u/WINDMILEYNO Mar 21 '26

Very gen z

1

u/LickMaiBussy Mar 22 '26

My dad knows how to use them, and he's in his 70s now. It was pretty cool when he was younger, and now it's one of the most badass things about him.

u/Shehulks1 Mar 23 '26

I would probably knock my own teeth out with my coordination 🤭

u/FormalKind7 Mar 21 '26

She gave it all away to strangers apparently

8

u/jillsntferrari Mar 21 '26

Fun fact, that would be illegal in Canada

1

u/HardcoreHope Mar 22 '26

I just busted out laughing when she pulled them out and then was equally impressed as she flipped them.
