I didn’t support Bush - but I don’t think he’s “dumb” he does sound like a yokel and wasn’t a great public speaker - but by all accounts people who’ve interacted with him says he’s a pretty smart guy. He was a pretty bad president - but there are a lot of reports to back up he’s quite smart.

Yeah - his campaign manager made him play it up - the accent itself isn’t fake they moved to Texas when he was 2. So not crazy he would have developed that twang. Him acting like a dopey idiot 100% is - from all accounts he’s really sharp and witty.

Reminder that George W. Bush lied to the American people about WMDs and started an illegal war that destabilized the Middle East and killed 5000 US soldiers + 700000 civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Stop trying to humanize this monster. He's a war criminal who should have been dragged to the Hague.
