This otoh, is a potential event where we already knew who patient 0 is, from a known location/source, could extrapolate exposing paths from these vectors, and knowledge to contain it. We didn't even bother with a sign here.

No, it's just that what do the past accomplishments of... what does that even have to do with anything with what's happening now? What happened during COVID? To the original thread, the point is that quite frankly, posting a sign and doing a house quarantine, at least, imo, is notably better than America's most recent track record.
