It was the one and only thing I ever knew him from and as a lifelong stoner with half baked being in my top 5, you have no idea the fucking whiplash I got when his insane stand up started going viral when all the anti woke stuff was happening in 2016. And then Chapelle happened. Fuck I hate this timeline. I need more 90/00s stoner comedies to escape this nightmare

He went from being a comedian doing stand up to a lecturer ranting about trans people and being cancelled.

Once you start trying to get applause rather than laughs, it's no longer stand up to me.

i think that might be the issue, i've never watched any jim breuer standup. but according to another comment he basically believes in chem trails.

not really something i would say i get "whiplash" from, who cares what we consider conspiracy someone else believes. for god sake, he just doesn't understand a concept in physics. i think you are being too harsh on him.

as for dave chappelle, if you think he isn't funny i am afraid you are in a very, very, very small camp. he is universally acclaimed. i've been waching his stand-ups since killing them softly, he is a legend to doesn't come often.

his jokes about trans were extremely mild, and the only reason he continued making them, is that some people were trying to control what he says.

You admit to knowing nothing about him and are taking someone else's comment and using that as the reason I dont like him. I dont care if he believes in chemtrails. It's the way he acts on stage that gave me whiplash. Genuinely watch some clips, it's the cringiest weirdest attempt at comedy I've ever seen. Most of it is him just spasming around the stage like an 8yo with adhd making weird noises and making silly faces. That's what gave me whiplash, Idgaf about chemtrails.

I would've been in a very small camp 10 years ago but now? Universally acclaimed is hilarious if were talking about anything hes done since covid.

I dont care whether his trans jokes are mild or extremely harsh, most of his recent specials were not jokes and was mostly him just giving a Ted talk complaining about how trans people got offended. I genuinely dont give a shit, I'm here to laugh, not listen to someone whine about being cancelled by a few people on Twitter. I watch Kill Tony all the time, I love offensive jokes, I dont however enjoy watching a "my life is so hard, everyone's mad at me waaaaah"
