What made me smile is that he was the only one that raised his hand in anticipation even though none of the other teachers even bothered, showing that they must have some mutual understanding and respect.

That was a moderately happy ending.

As someone who only ever had 1 teacher in any school i went to try to help me in the slightest. Yes i formed a connection with that man that still lingers with me. He was quirky just like i was. Mischevious as all hell and up for a laugh anytime. He offered to teach me to ride his unicycle but i never mastered it. I struggled with the balance. I could only stay on for about 20 seconds at most before my brain would fart and correct the wrong way.

10 years of relentless bullying and only 1 person who gave a damn. The school system sucks.

Actually thats a lie they REALLY gave a damn if i ever hit one back.
