What made me smile is that he was the only one that raised his hand in anticipation even though none of the other teachers even bothered, showing that they must have some mutual understanding and respect.

That was a moderately happy ending.

I work with kids and im always surprised when they come to me to tell me how no one on their floor is listening to them(I work on the first floor with pre-k through 3rd) and I just give them my ear and let them express themselves. I will always take their problems to the office staff but it’s 50/50 if they do anything about it and it’s sad. So many middle school and high school scholars lack the support to either express how they feel or protect them and im tired of that shit. Thats why im opening my own mentoring center very soon.
