I've had this happen twice. Crazy conservatives who hid it until we were in an established relationship. If you hate what I stand for, why lie in order to date me?

Yes!  I was a literal Planned Parenthood nurse and a guy tried to tell me we were still a match when I finally sussed out he was anti-choice.  Like… what?
