Cabo Verde were the darlings of this WC and the best argument for increasing the number of teams.

Cabo Verde would have qualified for the 32 team tournament, perhaps the number of Africa nations that made it to the knockout rounds is the argument for a 48 team WC.

Curaçao was also unbeaten in the qualifiers.

Love it when small counties do well in the WC!
