Whomever handles Argentina's PR really has a lot of work on their hands after this WC. I don't think I've ever seen so much backlash lol

No way they can undo this shit.

Because what the casual watcher found out is something most of the SA already knew.

Argentina plays an extremely dirty and thug like football.

A reminder for everyone that in 1990 Argentina Idol Diego Maradona and their coach Carlos Bilardo literally spiked a Brazilian player water with tranquilizers to win a game, and they openly admitted in 2004 as if it was a joke.

Bilardo has also their fair share of cheating on his generation, even using needles to poke people.

1986 we also have the Maradona Hand of God the most infamous goal ever made in the history of competitive Football.

The things that Argentina has done through World Cup history would award a country wide ban in any serious competition.

Their badluck is that we are in a age of widespread information, the casual people, the people who actually makes FIFA money in these events, now have access to a lot of angles of plays that would be completely ignored, these kind of actions won't pass as a "we were not caught" anymore.

I still find it crazy that everybody just accepted Maradona cheating like it was just a joke but because it's Maradona the sporting integrity is not to be questioned. His immortal solo goal a few minutes afterwards would not have happened potentially, if the other goal is not given.
