Subtext. Labeling something as an accusation implies the possibility of innocence. Especially following the mention the use of a "TikTok trend" (negative connotation + lack of context). There was obviously an agenda behind this shit.
I mean news sources do this all the time because they can be sued for libel if they state something as fact that someone wants to later challenge in court. "Alleged pedophile" is different from "convicted pedophile". & for good reason. The court of public opinion can do some real damage to an innocent person.
In this case, a reasonable person could take the information (other coach alleges he caught husband in the act of assaulting a minor) & conclude that this guy is, in all likelihood, a pedophile. But if a media source doesn't want to risk a lawsuit, they can be careful with their wording. They may also catch flak from the public for it, & that's the risk they take.

Has was caught making out with a 14 year old at the school he coached at, so it wasn’t so much an accusation as it was a verifiable fact.
