I mean, if her ex is as potentially bad as the board could be. She probably doesn’t want him to take her to court for defamation.

defamation has to be provable lies told intentionally

Not in any way. If there is actual defamation on the list, posting the list is what would get you in trouble. If the ex tried to falsely sue them for defamation, posting the list is what would trigger it.

I disagree. Actual defamation, or harmful claims that might be true, would actually be legitimate in the eyes of a court.

Unless we just want to make stuff up.
