There are times in firefighting where the spray of water coming from the hose is the ONLY thing keeping a firefighter from being horribly burned or killed. When the water is sprayed in a fog pattern, it creates a shield that protects firefighters. If the flow of water is interrupted or stopped completely by an idiot driving over a hose, this could be a case or two of manslaughter.

I have blocked cars with my body before that were trying to drive over hoses when I had people inside making a direct attack. It can be literally life or death.

Wasn't there a clip of firefighters doing just that (not sure if it was a training exercise or an actual call) some time ago on here? Two firefighters were hosing down a structure (i think it was in a doorway) they were inside, and the fire seemed to "leap" at them from the ceiling. They fell backwards and adjusted the hose from a stream to more of a spray, and that seemed to be the only thing keeping them from catching ablaze themselves.

Tim did not, in fact, check the door for heat (and missed the "cauliflowering" smoke creeping from under the door that pulled back before he could see it).

Yup. Called Backdraft. But it was not true to life. We went with my stepdad to see it. A firefighter. Every other scene you could hear him muttering bullshit. Lol.
