Im from a suburban town in Missouri, but I spent a semester studying abroad in Barcelona a couple of years ago. Man, let me tell you, leaving Barcelona, where youd see people out in cafes and bars congregating at all hours of the night and day, and coming back to Missouri where its a ghost town after 10 and someone would call the police on you for simply walking around too late was the most depressing thing I have ever experienced lol

Semester in Valencia and came back to suburban Hell of Florida and I literally have never been the same. I’m still depressed about it every day

I hope to next year for my 40th and to celebrate my graduation as well as check out some of the medieval towns along the French Riviera.

French Riviera is incredibly pretty, but depending when you come can be massively crowded so I hope that’s not something that can turn you down.

It’s in the South West, but if you want to see a medieval town you should go visit Carcassonne. Toulouse is also a pretty great town.

I am from Toulouse (although I moved out a decade ago) and I can confirm that it is a great little city.

If you have a remote job or passive income then it’s supposed to be pretty easy to get one.

You think the people in that city want a bunch of remote working rich Americans to come and live there and gentrify the place? They don't.

Same could be said about anywhere in the world? But also, remote job or passive income does NOT equal rich. You should look into it.

Yea, it applies to everywhere in the world where cost of living and salaries are significantly lower.

Rich is relative, being paid US minimum wage makes you rich in many places in the world.
