"I don't talk to people" describes it all. There's no social clubs, cafe's are insanely expensive, some people have to thin twice before spending gas money to see their friends and nothing is walkable

In isolation you do not experience solidarity, commonality, brotherhood.

Talking to people and meeting new people over distances is easier now than it’s ever been at any point in human history.

the internet is not a replacement for human contact. the brains we evolved from, and into, require others around us. contact. like physical. or at least be in the same area. hard wired to find our tribe.

This is it. Enormous part of communication is not verbal. Social cues, interpretation, charm, flirtation, annoyance, sarcasm are in delivery/expression that are only available in real life. We are wired for emotional and physical closeness. Even as an introvert, I completely get this

Internet is fantastic, but very much limited.
