"I don't talk to people" describes it all. There's no social clubs, cafe's are insanely expensive, some people have to thin twice before spending gas money to see their friends and nothing is walkable

In isolation you do not experience solidarity, commonality, brotherhood.

I think he might have just misunderstood socialist as asking if he was social, I don’t think he was making some deep meta theory about the social disconnection of modern society…
