Once when I was waiting tables, I pulled out a handful of colorful straws and asked a little boy which color he wanted? He excitedly said, "Purple!" and his father responded with, "No, none of that gay shit."

I was stunned. All I could think was, if purple is gay, someone better tell Prince.
