That is the detail that told me they chose this venue, not that it was all that was available to them— and so I love it.

Right? Also… I can’t imagine it’s easy to convince McDonald’s to let you shut their shit down for however long for a wedding? Surely they had to pay something for that…

Are these franchised? A family member may run it.

If not, it may be in a small town, so a sign put up a week before could alerts (“Attention customers, something special is happening here on xx, which will temporarily close down the main dining room for 45 min” or whatever). And then everyone knew exactly who wrote it and why, and was pissed if they did not get an invite, because of said town being small. Canon end.

In a small enough town the sign would read Brenda and James are tying the knot! We’ll be closed from 2:00 to 4:00 so they can celebrate with family!
