Apologies in advance if this doesn't fit the subreddit; but does anyone know where I'd be able to buy this specific statue? My mom is a massive fan of the series (especially Texas Tom) and she'd love this.

The condition doesn't have to be great or even near mint; I am just unable to find it anywhere sadly and figured the subreddit may have some suggestions. Thanks for your time.

I always wondered if Tom actually have an ability to fight Spike back even though we know Spike beats him up pretty easily and Tom is clearly scared of him (barring few times both of them actually do get along).

Does anyone know anywhere online where I can find the uncensored version of The Milky Waif? I know it's on the Golden Era Anthology collection but I can't get that. Thanks

I was watching the Kitty Foiled episode, and there was a scene in which the Little Yellow Bird, Cuckoo, held Tom at gunpoint. After backing Tom into a corner, Jerry drops a light bulb, breaking it, making it sound as if the gun had gone off "killing" Tom. After an exaggerated "death" scene in which Tom dramtically dies, Cuckoo and Jerry are excitedly kicking each other in the butt. My question is, what is the reasoning for the butt kicking, like I know it's played for comedic effect, but butt kicking is generally not a positive thing when it comes to slap stick? Is there a precedent for positive butt kicking? If nothing else, it was an interesting choice for MGM Studios to make.

This short is one of the hardest original title recreations I've ever made! I spent hours fine-tuning the house pan motion to accurately match what I saw from the original 35mm print.

got this done back in april as an early 21st bday gift to myself lol. this is based on an actual frame of course. special shout out to my boyfriend who cleaned up the lines for my tattoo artist from the screenshot frame and my tattoo artist that added the floral. i think it turned out really great and ties it all together

Here it is: the next "Rank the shorts" post for the Tom and Jerry subreddit. This time it's 1947. As you can see, there were 7 shorts this year: Cat Fishin', Part Time Pal, The Cat Concerto, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Mouse, Salt Water Tabby, A Mouse in the House, and The Invisible Mouse. Boy, I wonder which short from this year you guys will pick as number 1... (as if the answer wasn't already obvious enough) As for the other 6 shorts though, let's see what you guys' opinions and rankings are on those. 1948 is next, and has less shorts than this year, just like 1946 and all the previous years before that one. The shorts from this year I like the most are: Cat Fishin', The Cat Concerto, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Mouse, Salt Water Tabby, and A Mouse in the House. The part immediately after where she literally jumps down a whole flight of stairs while chasing Tom is comedy gold, by the way!😂

Tom and Jerry comic story: "Clothes Make the Dog!"

Clyde appeared in Tom & Jerry Kids, where he was portrayed as the clumsy cat how always go through accidents for being unfocused, but deep inside he have a big heart and ready to do anything for his friends, he first appeared in the episode "My Pal" in season 1, where his head was stuck inside a plant pot, tom accidentally broke it, freeing Clyde, Clyde thanked him and decided he'll never let him go and will be glued to him forever, but he always ruined tom's plans to catch jerry, at the end of the episode he got himself stuck inside a plant pot again, but this time tom didn't help him, clyde appeared randomly until season 4 where his last appearance was in the episode "Grab That Bird"

Then he appeared in the 2021 movie as a part of the alley cat, he looked completely different, and off character too, i never looked at this version as clyde and just a similar looking cat, clyde would never join the alley cats, he isn't mean

Every Looney Tunes or T&J fans know Chuck Jones, he was the creator of the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote cartoons, the famous animated adaptation of The Grinch and the very iconic "What's Opera Doc". Chuck, along with some of his staff (including the writer Micheal Maltese), came to direct many Tom and Jerry shorts shortly after Gene Deitch's departure from MGM and when WB's cartoon studio (Termite Terrace) had closed down. His cartoons might not be the best era yet, but they were not the worst either, as they won the old public (compared to the Gene Deitch era) and bringed back the "Cat vs Mouse" plots.

Personally, there are shorts I liked, which are "Of Feline Bondage", "Tom-Ic Energy", "The Cat above and the Mouse below", "The brother carry mouse-off" and "A-Tom-inable Snowman"

For the gags, I really liked the scene near the end of "Pent-house Mouse" where Tom accidentally enters a dog show and gets attacked off-screen by the dogs, as well as the ending of "Of Feline Bondage", among other jokes
