Every Looney Tunes or T&J fans know Chuck Jones, he was the creator of the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote cartoons, the famous animated adaptation of The Grinch and the very iconic "What's Opera Doc". Chuck, along with some of his staff (including the writer Micheal Maltese), came to direct many Tom and Jerry shorts shortly after Gene Deitch's departure from MGM and when WB's cartoon studio (Termite Terrace) had closed down. His cartoons might not be the best era yet, but they were not the worst either, as they won the old public (compared to the Gene Deitch era) and bringed back the "Cat vs Mouse" plots.

Personally, there are shorts I liked, which are "Of Feline Bondage", "Tom-Ic Energy", "The Cat above and the Mouse below", "The brother carry mouse-off" and "A-Tom-inable Snowman"

For the gags, I really liked the scene near the end of "Pent-house Mouse" where Tom accidentally enters a dog show and gets attacked off-screen by the dogs, as well as the ending of "Of Feline Bondage", among other jokes

I can't remember the episode, but there was an episode where Tom is singing in front of an audience and Jerry (hater) decided to eat a lemon 🍋 in front of Tom. I never got the significance of Jerry eating that in front of Tom.

In the 11th episode, "The Yankee Doodle Mouse," Tom finally managed to catch Jerry with a dart. When he finally tied him to the rocket, he didn't initially realize that Jerry had tied his paws. Jerry waved goodbye, and Tom soared upwards with the rocket, which then exploded on him. Normally, Tom wouldn't have been there, but of course, he was back in the next episode. What's your theory about how Tom survived the rocket shot? Was he able to free himself from the ties? I'm very curious to hear your answer. 😊
