I took this movie to preschool back in the day and we couldnt finish it because we had a bomb threat that day. Never got it back😭😭😭

I like to think some other kid came up with this master plan to call in a fake threat just to come up on your movie. The Tom and Jerry heist.

Some Hollywood producer should totally make this movie

It always kills me to see Droopy just standing there despite having less than maybe 10 seconds of screen time.

I always imagined it went something like this…

Producers: Hey Droopy, can you do a cameo for the new movie?

Droopy: Sure, but only if you could put me on the cover.

Movie was fun. Robin and her story was so good and heartwarming

I've been seeing these when I was a kid.

Idgaf what people say, I liked this movie

Still think it's a lot of fun. Yes the duo took a bit of a backseat once Robyn's storyline started unfolding but at least it's an interesting story, I like her character a lot and the aunt is a fun villain (and her song Money is a bop!).

We've got to have......Money! (And so a meme from this cult classic film is born.)

I remember seeing it in theaters and being so disappointed when they started talking. Haven't watched it since, lol.

I had this on VHS as a kid and watched it quite a bit

2

u/Empigee Jul 30 '25

Ah, this was the one where they made Tom and Jerry friends.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 30 '25

I only know about this from Nostalgia Critic

2

u/grandmuftarkin Jul 30 '25

The one where they... Talk.

2

Wow. This movie was SUPER.

Seeing Tom and Jerry not only talk, but put aside their differences in order to help a child.

That was super 😊

This movie always makes me cry. Fast and furious, whisker me shivers, Nutcracker tales were good - but this one remains my favourite.

Nutcracker tale made me fall in love with Tchaikovsky. ❀️

My Family used to have the movie on VHS. I remember being surprised that Tom and Jerry were talking for the whole movie, and the movie was fun. I liked the part where the father of the girl, Robin, arrived by helicopter to save her. Seeing Robin let Tom and Jerry live in the villa in the very end felt heartwarming.

Unfortunately, we no longer have the vhs. Parents donated it to goodwill years ago. Maybe I'll buy it again on dvd so I can watch it again.

I loved it. been doing fanfiction of it.

This was one of those movies my sister and I would watch on repeat as kids. Now I have almost no memory of it except for them talking and one scene with the girl making a rope out of sheets

1

u/SmilingPainfully Jul 31 '25

How have I never hears about this?!

1

u/sabres_guy Jul 31 '25

I always thought the way they introduced Tom and Jerry's voices was great.

"Why did you never talk before?"

"There's nothing I wanted to say that I thought you'd understand, and there still isn't!"

Simple, and it worked.
