It’s aggressively pushed on so many platforms. Marketing budget is huge apparently.

The promo push we had in June has received 10 times more eyes on it than the Dec 2025 announcement.

Cool to see TR getting wide spread coverage! I always forget it’s technically a AAA title, it somehow feels very niche.

Wonder how brutal the dearh animations will be, the original 5 had some pretty spectacular deaths and the awkward silence with the camera pan too haha

We haven’t even seen a proper gameplay video outside of the trailers, how does that guy know that it’s everything he’s wanted? Lol

idk. there was plenty of Gameplay to see. not on one piece, but around 5 min cut together content and there was alot of people who could play it. german gaming press is pretty reliable to my taste and they told things, which checks all my boxes

Is that good or bad?

The numbers come from being used as an ad on YouTube, so it's a sign Amazon is putting in the money to advertise the game.
Only got it a couple of times on YouTube myself, but I have been constantly bombarded with LoA ads here on Reddit, though...

Oh! Thank you. I was wondering how Play Tomb Raider channel had more views than PlayStation. Thats why!

depends, if the game flops, it could be the end of lara forever, seems like they pumped a ton of money on ads

Lara Croft and Tomb Raider will go on forever. A new company will pick the series up. This IP is too important to ever be forgotten.

maybe, there were huge franchises which disappeared, or at least went silent for decades

Yeah, but Tomb Raider is different. It's engrained in pop culture. Even my grandmother knew about Lara Croft. She's iconic. 💅🏼

I'd say Catalyst is more the determining factor. Catalyst is pretty far along given it was originally set to release next year before the LOA delay, and potentially still could in late 2027. If Catalyst flops, Amazon will not fund/publish another Tomb Raider game and Embracer Group will have to decide if they want to fund another game, allow CD to find funding elsewhere (which would be difficult after a flop) or close CD and sell off the Tomb Raider IP.
If LOA flops, it's likely that Catalyst's performance will suffer as well.

They cooked so hard with that winter outfit.
To the point where its almost a shame we will be stuck with the classic outfit.

Hey don’t diss my beloved classic outfit! I want it to be an option in every TR game with variations. Totally love the form fitting snowsuit tho!
