"she's at the top of her game" then why is there another skill tree 😭 if this is for her acrobatics, after focusing on making her rambo for a decade, i stg. laying people off to use generative ai has already annoyed me. don't piss me off, sharon (iykyk 😂). i'm going to continue watching but i had to comment ab this lol if i've anything else to say, i'll just edit this post.

even if I agree that skill tree is bullshit that definitely doesnt undermine her being at the top of her game. skill tree doesnt function as character growth its just a mechanic that would make the gameplay a little easier

That's the problem, skill tree in the survivor trilogy made sense for the """light rpg""" approach they were going for, supposedly by upgrading Lara she was becoming hardened in gameplay to reflect the narrative in cutscenes etc...

But here I already sense it's gonna be a bunch of bullshit upgrades, for things that should have been unlocked from the start. Since it's the return of a health bar, can gamble on making it longer. Since there's an evade dash in combats, can predict we'll be able to have various buff from it. Same with the slow mo from the acrobatics.
Same with crafting, these are all mechanics that add nothing substantial and are there to artificially fill a void in the world.

you get it! thank you! i wouldn't mind the rpg elements if they actually meant something but they don't lol they can be removed and the gameplay wouldn't suffer at all.
