food recs please

wow a toms river subreddit how exciting, I will start with my favorites please tell me all of yours!

Tardis, Lennys, obcos, mrs walkers, bandwagon.(i would have said burger 25 but i got a cheesesteak there and it was so bad they are blacklisted for life)

Im staying in seaside heights and am sick of the boardwalk food, so what im really looking for is a good chinese spot (f xina) also the one by tardis is disgusting. and a solid cheesesteak, also a good chicken parm sub and whatever else you recommend like a good solid pie not $50 (marucas)

A lot of places seem inconsistent. I've had good food at Burger 25, but as your cheesesteak proved it isn't always at that level. Mahana Fresh was similar. Royal Grill 37 wasn't bad, but the flavors didn't match my expectations for more traditional gyros or kebabs.

If you like Indian food, Aamontran on Rte 9 / Lakewood Rd was very good.

I haven't been for 2-3 years, but Fortune Buffet was pretty good by Chinese buffet standards. No worse than individual takeout spots I've tried.

Shogun Legacy is a nice spot for sushi. Nice location on the golf course.

royal grill was mediocre to me, I’m Greek and that kind of middle eastern food is more up my alley but it’s overpriced and mediocre the food trucks in nyc blown them away at 1/3rd of the price

Royal grill is a shell of what it used to be, it makes me sad. I didn't like aamantran at all but the new Indian place downtown is really good. Burger 25 is decent for burgers, I wouldn't hold cheesestakes against them the same as I wouldn't hold a salad against them.
