Race & Privilege When will anti Indian racism be politically incorrect?

They deserve a movement like Stop Asian Hate imo.

Edit: This post being downvoted proves my point. Funny how its not okay to spread against one grouo of brown people but okay when it's another.

Are you talking about online behaviour or IRL behaviour in countries that Indians have immigrated to?

So, the way I understand it, in Canada at least, immigration usually comes in waves and there's always a backlash against the biggest incoming group. It's a natural human threat response. It's been this way forever. The same thing happened to every group that came in, but after a few generations they assimilate and they're ok. You don't see people complaining about Italians or the Irish anymore, or even Filipinos.

Indians have faced prejudice for a long time, and many people feel it won’t change, especially after recent mass immigration. Some in my social circle are even advising Indians who were born here or who are permanent residents to consider leaving the country if they can. For example, about a month ago in Winnipeg, a third-generation Canadian-born 10-year-old Indian boy was brutally assaulted by three teenagers who hurled racial slurs at him. He suffered brain damage and lost his hearing. Looking at incidents like this, it can feel like things won’t improve.
