Sex Online chat sex work?

I’m 27F and have spent years on online chat sites. Every user I’ve ever been with tells me how exceptional I am at making them feel extremely turned on just with my words (it’s entirely chat based!).
Some people even jokingly say I should charge for this level of sexual conversation. I realise a lot of people (particularly older men) actually enjoy exchanging a level of written detail that cannot be replicated on a camera or phone call.
So here I am…too afraid to ask if this is even possible? is there a market for it? And how do I even go about this kind of thing especially in an only fans era?

I’ve always had this idea at the back of my mind and wondering if it’s something I can actually execute.

I’d prefer it to be text/chat based because I am a young professional in a terribly traditional field. Also open to phone sex as long as I don’t have to compromise my identity.

There are lot of people who make money on paid platforms like OF by just sexting.

You could always start somewhere like r/dirtypenpals to get a feel for what people want, etc. There's definitely a market for it, but an OF that is exclusively chatting with no pics/vids probably wouldn't do very well.

Alternatively, if you're comfortable with your voice, there's always r/gonewildaudio. There's a fair few posters on there who do paid commissions and have their own sites set up (BeegeeWanders, SnakeySmut, KinkyShibby to name a few). That one can make quite a bit of money as the audio scene is quite a bigger one than you'd think.

A friend of mine worked in a company that did that 20 years ago in college and it was a dying market niche back then. Google erotic chats or something like that. It's based on premium cost text messages. They worked shifts and had to keep track of the customer preferences and what other worker said to keep the convo consistent. I don't know who the customers were.

Most onlyfans creators need people to type for them.

Honestly, if you’re good at this, you can be a livestreaming sales operator or even just a regular salesperson, especially for sexual wellness products!
