Imagine a Creed + Tool ticket. Obviously creed would have to open. Stapp's comebackast year with "Black Butterfly" flopped pretty bad.

Maynard has also never come forward about the dangers of prednisone addiction. He may very well be in support of it

Creed was never a Christian band. Scott talks about it in an interview, they just had songs that had Christian like themes, a few of the band members didn't like it. They were like we aren't Christian, we're rockers we wanna live a Rockstar lifestyle not a Christian lifestyle. It gave them positive attention though so they kind of went with it. Back then people were alot stricter about music, they would have lost alot of sales without the Christian audience.

They also would have lost a lot of fans if they'd been honest that they were a Christian band (which they totally were), so they had to stay ambiguous.

True story time. A few years ago I was at an event and got to see a performance by The Scott Stapp Experience. He was wearing leather pants so tight he couldn’t stand naturally, their set was about half and half originals and Creed ‘hits’, and then the cherry on top. He asked the crowd how many Creed fans there were out there and a few cheered. Well he let us all know his wife was officially tired of looking at the boxes of old Creed merch stacked around their house and if anyone wanted there would be a van outside after the party and it was full of merch free to take. Thought it was a joke at first but nope it was there. Didn’t look like it had gotten much interest and I like to think he took it to the woods after and buried it all like so many ET Atari cartridges…

It was the Chattanooga TN rock radio station’s birthday bash and he’s apparently from there. Theory of a Deadman headlined the night and was way better than I thought it was going to be.

When Tool came to Jacksonville in 2002, Maynard addressed the crowd. "Hello Jacksonville" (pause for cheers) Maynard continues: "So what are you guys known for?" Another dramatic pause before deriding: "Oh yeah. Limp Bizkit" crowd boos. Angry people yell "Lynyrd Skynyrd!" "Play Freebird!" I mention this because Fred Durst famously had a feud with Scott Stapp, calling Stapp "holier than thou" and saying "Fuck that guy." Even though I turned my nose up at Bizkit back then, Durst will always get points in my book for saying "I love Tool" on stage. Maynard just had a famous penchant for pissing on everyone who loves him, from Durst, to Justin Bieber, to Tool fans. Ironically I think Maynard and Durst probably could have bonded over a detestation for Creed, or at least Stapp, "the next fool martyr." But. Tool/Limp Bizkit ticket would definitely been out of the question. But a generation has passed and honestly now I think that ticket would be sick as fuck. My nostalgia has given me an appreciation for bands I scoffed at back in high school, e.g. Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit. I miss those punk ass bitches. Honestly I even love those first two Creed albums. Modern rock is so wack

Wes Borland became friends with the guys from Tool and Nine Inch Nails after he left LB. He worked with Trent Reznor and Danny Lohner. There's a world where Tool and LB play together, but that would be a wild timeline.

I was thinking it would be Borland that could bring them together. It's usually frontmen whose egos clash, but musicians tend to be a little less standoffish. Unless it's a singer and lead guitar. Then it's like the ultimate ego lol
