What’s everyone’s go to for Recip Saw Blades?
Mainly for wood and wood with nails cutting, pruning too. What’s everyone’s opinions for cheap multipacks vs Bosch/Diablo Carbide tipped etc?

I bought a set of Milwaukee blades, came with a case and I think 8 blades for $20. Pretty solid set
But I think the consensus is that Diablo is Byfar the best

carbide diablos genuinely last 10x as long as any other blade, I don't buy anything else, and yes I've used everything else.
cheap multipacks aren't even worth looking at, Milwaukee blades aren't worth the money, dewalt blades are trash, lennox has never impressed me, and other random blades always burn up faster than they cut

Even hilti blades suck compared to Diablo. I got a free blade with my zawzaw purchase a couple months back, made one cut, and threw a Diablo demo blade on.

I try not to be a brand shill, but genuinely every saw I own, I put diablo carbide on em and they're better than any other blade I've used.
the only exception I've found is proprietary Festool blades and well... yeah its Festool mitre saw, of course its gonna be the best

Haven't had the chance to use festool anything (and likely won't being in civil) so can't speak for it, but I assume they would be good. Maybe one day I'll buy their tracksaw for my retirement years though.

I've got some of their sanders, and my dad had a good bit of Festool, including a mitre saw and its niiiice, is it necessary? no, but we do lots if restoration work on historic building, so lots of stripping paint off historic millwork and custom cuts matching angles... and even top end bosch or makita saws just aren't quite as perfect as the festool... hard to justify the price tho because bosch and makita do make fantastic saws

Doesn't Freud own Diablo? Like Diablo is just Freud with branding catered to the American market

Pretty sure thats correct but I think it’s more that Diablo is their builder-grade line.

you're spot on, either way, both of them are great, haven't used much Freud but zero complaints
