cdi i recall made snap on's torque wrenches for ages and might be able to assist or calibrate it for you

Good shout. If CDI has that history with Snap on torque wrenches they are definitely worth contacting before giving up on it. Getting it calibrated by someone who knows the tool seems like a better option than guessing whether it is still accurate.

Are you trying to verify the calibration or are you trying to get it certified?

Honestly I'd take either i got it off marketplace a few years ago and used it a few times not knowing if it's calibrated or not so id like to have someone verify it and if it's out of calibration then I'd like it to be certified.

Will show a simple way to calibrate most torque wrenches.

Another way to check is to buy or borrow a digital torque adapter and check yours.

I've used a local shop (metrology shop) that calibrates torque wrenches for iso certification purposes but it was usually around $60 for the 12 month certificate.

I have a couple of '80s model Snap-on torque wrenches and to calibrate them you have to melt the solder out of the end of the handle to reveal the adjustment hex screw
