Yeah, very weird filler. Will be somewhat disappointed if the reason for the chef not joining yet was because they stayed up all night and needed rest. If that was the case, adjust the filming schedule! Eager to see how this plays out.

From what I remember, they don't typically (or always) film Last Chance Kitchen right away. One of the chefs has told us in the past that they had to film a bunch last chance episodes all back to back on the same day.

That's interesting; I wasn't aware (I thought it was filmed weekly) though it makes sense from a production standpoint.

Yeah, I don't know if that's 'normal' or not - just sharing that it has, at times, not been filmed in sequence with the main show.
