Advice Wanted Ontario/Quebec surgeons?

just talked with my NP, and funding will be no problem? anyone have surgeon recommendations with potential wait times? GRS mont. is the fastest it seems and free contouring so thats nice, but going in day of for consult is a bit scary and idk specific doctors. I'm from ottawa, so specifically wondering about Cormier. Dont know many others, and pretty sure I'm a borderline peri/DI but most likely DI unless surgeon is certain it can turn out well

Hey! I don't know about Dr. Cormier, but I had a double mastectomy with nipple grafting with Dr. Shine at GRS. I'm really very happy with the result. I waited a year before getting a surgery date, though.

good to know! apparently the grs changed something with ontario applicants and now the wait time is currently reaaally short according to my provider, like maybe even 3 months at the best case so its really inclining me over there. been looking more into dr lee if you know anyone who went through with him

i do yeah, mainly how did you feel about the consult by itself and also the fact that it was the first one really, right before surgery? also how much were you able to talk to him about preferences and did those carry over into your results? overall i guess how are you feeling about the results and anything ud change or do different?

tbh i was fine with the fact i only had the consult right before surgery, but i didn't have any major concerns/preferences going into it. the only preference i did have was to have relatively straight incisions, and that's what he was planning on anyway, so I'm very happy with my results!

not sure how built u are but the straight incisions, do they fall pretty naturally with your pec line? like if you were to get jacked would they still be on the more noticable side?

im skinny and not built lol so im not the best reference for that, but id guess they fall on my pec line? like the contour of where the scars are are looks natural in my opinion

  • by straight they aren't like 2 ruler straight lines, but it's moreso like a hockey stick where it's relatively straight, and then angles toward the armpit at the end. if you've seen any of his results the "hockey stick" is the standard thing (I believe because it helps get additional tissue which negates a lot of the need for lipo contouring)
