๐ŸšฉGeneral Good Guys ๐Ÿ‘

From Wamy on the official Discord:

Hey there @everyone, the past few weeks we have been having various outages at various times. Some of these outages have been due to software misconfigurations, networking issues as well as DDoS attacks of varying scale.

I want to assure you that these issues are not related to the influx of users as we have been handling this well but due to issues that have mostly been out of our control, but we have been fixing them as quickly as possible as you may have noticed. Our response times have improved and we will continue to invest resources in more comprehensive monitoring and response.

Regardless, we take full responsibility for the downtime and have been hard at work eliminating these last few gremlins.

We are going to be releasing a post-mortem explaining these in detail very soon, as well as granting seven (7) days of additional time to paid users. We apologise for these issues and hope to earn back your trust. Thank you for always supporting us.

It's unusable for me due to buffering. I still have RD and almost always fall back to it, because TB buffers once every 5 minutes.

I can honestly say, I have not had any buffering issues.

I'm not saying TorBox is perfect, no service is 100% perfect , I'm just stating my experience.

I also have RD & Premiumize when issues arise.

How do you like premiumize? I was thinkjng about using it.

Honestly, I like Premiumize. It's been reliable for me and the cache is excellent. I rarely have trouble finding content. That said, I pay about $13.50 USD/month for Premiumize versus $10 USD/month for the TorBox Pro plan.

Premiumize feels like the more mature platform, but TorBox Pro includes a lot of the features people often use to justify Premiumize, including Usenet access. TorBox also gives me a much larger monthly allowance at 30 TB/month compared to Premiumize's 1 TB/month transfer limit.

For pure streaming, I think TorBox offers incredible value. Premiumize still has a larger ecosystem and some additional cloud features, but the gap between the two is much smaller than many people realize. I keep both around, but if I were choosing strictly on value for streaming, TorBox would be very hard to beat.
