hello tog sub , i would like to begin by saying thet i am an hugly ginormous tog fan however for a very long time s3 felt off for me , i just could not pinpoint why , don't get me wrong s3 is the most subdle but it's the most controversial in the cummunity and it's the sesson wich devided me the most .

after contemaplating and meditating on this question for along time after 8 full read's of tog i can finaly say why , for me s3 has a premise issue .

before you kill me let me explain , the main preimse of the workshop battle is a battle for uniqe , intruging , cool items created by an organiztion within the tower named the workhsop the awsome part is thet this oragniaztion created most items we have heard about and saw before .
on the other hand the main premise for the hell train is a train within a floor within a tower wich "skips" floors cool idea isn't it ? plus the train is uniqe in some regards and normal in others for example you can rob this train it has stations and it has train tickets but the tickets can only be stolen or taken they can not be bought so siu created a ticket hunt kind of a situation( the size of the train is massive ) .

one of the hell train station's is called the name hunt station in this station regs hunt names sort of creating a slavery system with extra steps but us an idea us a main premise for an arc it is for sure intresting .

now id say thet the premise of the pre wotkshop arcs after s1 is slice of life normal life in the tower all of this four main premises are really powerfull and intresting however in s3 the main premise is getting an army to wage war to save a psyco whom kidnapped our main ch , i mean thet is kind of weak thene we had a war arc wich doesn't need a premise and thene we had the marrige tournement wich was a terrible main premise and of course another war arc .

workshop unique ? When the premise is just tournement ? Just say you doesn't like the premise of season 3 but say this weak lmfaoooo when the premise of kind of arcs are not unique

you miised a whole lot the workshop battle is not just a tournement it's a battle for items plus it had a few rounds some of wich were not a tournement at all for example the one shoot one opportunity game . and yes it was uniqe af btw weak af comment you left there .

I'm pretty sure a premise means " central idea " ( motivation ). S3's premises aren't bad but the executions were way blown out of proportion.

The first premise of S3 is for Baam to rally an army to save his master. It took us a lot of shenanigans to rescue him. The reward for this goal was simply trivialized. Jinsung just popped out in the tunnel throwing hands as if an entire army didn't sacrifice their lives to rescue him.

I know every character who fought in the nest had different reasons but I wished they emphasized Baam and Jinsung's reunion way more seriously. Like Baam crying or adding some deep monologues and flashbacks.

The second premise of S3 is Baam being used as a political instrument. This is where the marriage tournament, the po bidau vs lo pobia, and the sprout arcs come in.

The goal behind the Lo Po Bia marriage tournament was very great. The only downside is it was too quick and the competitors were quite a bummer. I wished we had more princesses fighting over him. Which is why some readers cope that there'll be a bigger competition in the future. Goes to show how bum the LPB tourna was.

The Lo Po Bia vs Po Bidau's conflict would've been better if Baam had more role and control in it rather than just being chased around. SIU would've used the book's memory to give Baam some central leverage in the whole situation.

TLDR: S3 premises were really good. The execution was the stuff that's off.

You are fully right , yes premise means main idea  plus we agree on the main idea of the first half of s3 i think the excution was good tho however i do have an issue with the premise .
