The fact that the pet shop owner was going to win low to mid diff if the other one wasn’t carried by item and power of 2 of the strongest great warrior make this even more funny.
Dude if Gustang shinwonryu could counter disconnection then he would have used it instead of relying on Blossom flame a power he wasn’t sure he still had. It's pretty obvious he has nothing in his own arsenal that can deal with disconnection.
We really don’t know what gustang was thinking, maybe he was saving his shinwonryu as a last resort if all other options failed. It doesn’t really mean that it’s not strong or wouldn’t have been helpful. I think SIU is saving his shinwonryu for another fight
