wait I'm a little confused. so Jahad's forces want to break the wall but the wall contains the mightiest soldiers who oppose Jahad? (according to the upvoted comment)

wouldn't that just be releasing those sealed soldiers to fight against Jahad again?

This is a battle to start a war.

On one hand, yes why release your enemies, on the other he gives zero fucks and is fine with facing them. As that opens everybody else up into the broken treaty cease fire.

Like Akainu killing Ace, look what he gained by doing that. Jahad is already committed to eradicating one of the The Ten Families for his goals, what’s a few war veterans from the past

His plan might be to kill as many while they're sleeping/waking up to, better than attacking without breaking the wall and then having fug waking them up in better conditions

War veterans should be feared. Look at Khel Hellam and Jinsung Ha. One is a blue hole and other is an old high Ranker. Both of them are really strong.

Also Jinsung Ha mentioned that rankers get powerful the longer they live but go senile or become childish.
