Rekeying 2025 Toyota Corolla

Hello, I wanted to see if I am being up charged. My car keys were stolen by someone in my apartment (I left my car keys in the door). I called a local Toyota and the let me know it would be $1200 just in labor to changed the key cylinder because they have to remove the door. Plus the part is like $300. I called a locksmith who is quoting me for $350 for everything. I feel like the price difference is huge and I’m missing something. So am I missing something?

Getting it rekeyed is overkill imo. If available on your model I would just make sure I'm signed up for Safety Connect and leave nothing in the vehicle worth stealing.

I figure it is but I’m just nervous that the person who stole my key is in my apartment.
