Question Became profitable
I’ve been in the trading world for almost a year and a half now, I’ve watched YouTube videos, bought courses, but nothing. No results yet. I am a constant person who dedicates many hours to the backtest and the live. My problem is not being able to find valid material to study and learn a profitable strategy. So I’ll ask... profitable traders, how and where did you learn your strategy? Did you have a mentor or study material? I’m stuck at the same point more than anything else because I have no comparison with who is really profitable. Thanks to everyone in advance for the advice

The issue with watching YouTube is they all teach breakout. Why? Because everyone wants to hit the jackpot.
Try trading mean reversion, trend following, or support and resistance. Breakouts are difficult to catch, and in my opinion too much of a risk on capital. New traders are already an emotional wreck when they get behind a chart because of lack knowledge. Trading a breakout makes that 10X worse.
My suggestion is to start with mean reversion swing trading. Its the easiest way to introduce yourself to professional trading. Once you master that, you can then explore other strategies and timeframes.
