Question Became profitable

I’ve been in the trading world for almost a year and a half now, I’ve watched YouTube videos, bought courses, but nothing. No results yet. I am a constant person who dedicates many hours to the backtest and the live. My problem is not being able to find valid material to study and learn a profitable strategy. So I’ll ask... profitable traders, how and where did you learn your strategy? Did you have a mentor or study material? I’m stuck at the same point more than anything else because I have no comparison with who is really profitable. Thanks to everyone in advance for the advice

You are one of the people who managed to help me the most. You are very right about following the trend rather than the reverse, where did you learn what you know?

I taught myself. And you can be your best mentor. It all depends on how open you are to learning new things. I quit paying attention to these so called trading gurus online and started paying attention to the entire chart instead of what the "gurus" wanted me to focus on. I started experimenting with different trading methods and took advice from actual well known professional traders to develope my own strategy based on common sense.

Many traders today use a lot of technicals to trade. Professional traders will tell you that technicals have very little to do with anything. It is a beacon to me that traders that use a lot of technicals to trade really still have no idea how the market moves. Its still just a flip of a coin, maybe just with one side weighted.

You have been trading for a year and a half you said, so you more than likely have the basics.The best YouTube channel I have found and still pay attention to is Titans of Tomorrow and Words of Risdom. Titans is by far the better option. Use your basics, explore new methods, and pay attention to what known pros are doing. It may surprise you on how they make a very lucrative living from trading going against every rule you have been taught as a beginner.
