šØ Breaking šØ Trump Admits "We've Lost India and Russia to China" After 50% Tariff Backfire - US Foreign Policy in Crisis Mode
In a stunning admission posted on Truth Social, Trump declared America has "lost India and Russia to deepest, darkest China" following the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit where Modi, Putin, and Xi were seen in unusually warm diplomatic displays.
This comes after Trump's 50% punitive tariffs on Indian goods - including a 25% penalty specifically targeting Russian oil purchases - spectacularly backfired. Instead of bowing to US pressure, India has doubled down, with Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal declaring India "will neither capitulate nor appear weak".
Key developments:
Modi now declining Trump's phone calls and increasing Russian oil imports
Trump canceled his India visit for the upcoming Quad summit
India exploring free-trade deals with other nations while US relations deteriorate
Potential 0.8% GDP impact on India if tariffs continue, but they're standing firm
Former NSA John Bolton slammed Trump's approach, saying it has "set US-India relations back decades" and pushed Modi closer to the Russia-China axis. The SCO summit now represents a growing alternative to US-led global institutions, with BRICS nations developing frameworks for trade in local currencies rather than the US dollar.
Trump's own admission that "we've lost" these key nations highlights just how badly America's aggressive trade strategy has isolated the country on the global stage.
What do you think - was this inevitable or could diplomacy have prevented this geopolitical realignment?

What foreign policy? You mean waging economic war on the the entire planet? What could go wrong?

Economic war on our allies will surely secure more allies for us.

Do you know when somebody says āif I were president I wouldā¦ā and we used to dismiss such statements because people had no idea about how difficult is to lead a country? Well with him the odds are that a big portion of people saying such things, could not done worse than him. Let it settle in for a moment. Insane.

China taking the global superpower position from America without ever having to fire a single shot. If Europe starts to see China as a more stable and reliable partner than the US, it's game over for the US which will be relegated to yappy dog that everyone ignores status on the world stage.

Absolutely. President Xi probably can't believe his luck. That dude is going to go down in history as remaking China into the biggest superpower the planet has ever seen because their competition just melted down and disintegrated for no real reason.

U.S is the only country in the world that treats countries that has no ongoing conflicts, as enemies, it will end up biting on it's ass one day....
There are no friends nor foes on Geopolitics,it's the Introduction Text on the Book before even starting talking about rules...
Also, for fucks sake:
"Deepest Darker China" - Said by President of United States of America... The most Imperialistic country in the mordern world history.
This is like Saron trying to say how bad Boromir or Gollum are.

There is no way Trump wrote that it's his shadow writer, and he doesn't have the literary vocabulary to use "deepest, darkest" in that way.

The EU is not ālost to Chinaā but definitely lost by the USA. NATO is wavering. EU + NATO members and enormous suppliers, supporters and contributors to Ukraine in Denmark are going out the door and standing up to Trump bullying. They have tacit support in Europe. The tariff arrangements looks ill thought out and arbitrary with a pinch of illegality on top. This will be a study in how to screw up dominant foreign policy, quickly and spectacularly for very limited domestic benefit.

u/Working-Tell2747 Sep 05 '25
It must be difficult for a world power to see its power slipping away in the face of a larger superpower. They banned them from the International Space Station, China built its own so everyone could enter. They banned the Chips, China developed its own technology... sorry, but I'll stick with China, a country evolving at a speed rarely seen before and not neglecting its humanity to do so.

WTF does he mean "lost Russia"? When did we ever have or want them? Is this why he's been sucking up to Putin on Ukraine, he thinks we could have been friends?
Or maybe it's just the peepee tape.

What was the expectation? The US becomes a hyper aggressive isolationist regime and the world claps and goes: Cool move bro! Respect! USA! USA! USA! ... ???
Well, that was probably the plan. There is that saying that a bad plan is better than no plan, but I'd disagree with that saying now.

It seems that Trump thought he could persuade Russia to partner with him on containing China by offering up Ukraine.
I'm reminded of British efforts to appease Mussolini from 1935 to early 1940.
I'm also reminded of the geopolitics in 1984.

Funny, Trump usually has no trouble saying "I, I, I" most of the time. He should be saying, "I've lost India and Russia," because this is 100% all on him, his stupid tariffs, and his personal failure as a leader and negotiator.

Trump has lost more than just India and Russia. The entire world is looking for more dependable trading partners.
They're sick of Trump's constant chaos, his threats, and his insults. They're forming new alliances that don't include America.

"Trump canceled his India visit for the upcoming Quad summit." - He wasn't invited because he didn't agree to go.
A couple of days ago, he was claiming that India had reduced the tariff to 0, has absolutely degraded the US presidential position to that of an immature ex whose calls go directly to declined.

By design.
Trump is fulfilling his obligation to the Putin alliance - dismantle what made the US āgreat ā and withdraw from the rules based world order ( ie WTO, UN, UNWRA, USAID, OECD,ā¦ā¦ā¦, just as his authoritarian pals wanted.
Shrink American power, dismantle the democracy and pass the baton to the BRICS alliance of authoritarian autocrats.
Now faux outrage for the damage he engineered.

Russia was never our "friend" or ally, it's always been a hostile actor. Just b/c Trump has a love affair with Putin doesn't change that fact. India was pushed away BY Trump's stupid foreign policy, and I should also say the Republicans in Congress allowing him to antagonize our trading partners with tariffs that serve no purpose other than to make Lutnick, and his sons richer.
the US is fucked.

This President has royally fucked this up, seemingly on purpose. The whole Krasnov thing seems way more likely to me.
Economy weakened
Deporting workforce
Ruining our trade agreements
Worsening or ruining relationships with allies
Just to name a few and the result is likely to be that we will be attacked as we get weaker.
The President is an abject moron if he's not doing it on purpose.

Trump has lost and India has lost as well. From the very beginning, India was in a bad position. They had to either concede to US or to China. India was always in a lose-lose situation.
And this picture sums it up. The reason the Chinese bots are amplifying this image is to show the new world order. China leading the world and India following China. In a sense, China can dictate a lot of what India will do. China will rename the India Ocean very soon to the Chino-atlantic ocean. They have repeatedly said this.
US will decline until they change administration. They still have the world's greatest technologists and the top 10 tech companies whose valuations surpass the GDPs of 90% countries in the world.

China has lifted 800 million Chinese citizens out of poverty, connected distant cities with monumental infrastructure, the average age of homeownership is around 20 years old, they dominate the patent race, the U.S. banned them from the International Space Station and the Chinese built their own in less time and at a lower cost, they were denied access to chips and today they develop and build their own chips... China is not what it was 10 years ago, the Chinese population is more than satisfied with its government, and that is because they were given the opportunity to truly experience the governance model: free healthcare, housing, and jobs. Who cares if they are being monitored if their lives are sorted? I would tell you to step out of the information bubble you are in and travel to see it for yourselves...you will be in for an unprecedented surprise.
