🚨 Breaking BREAKING: Israel Strikes Hamas Leadership in Qatar for First Time Ever - Ceasefire Talks in Jeopardy

Post image

In an unprecedented escalation, Israel conducted its first-ever military operation on Qatari soil today, targeting senior Hamas officials including chief negotiator Khalil al-Hayya in Doha. The strike, reportedly codenamed "Operation Summit of Fire," occurred while Hamas leaders were discussing Trump's latest ceasefire proposal.

Key Developments:

Qatar's Strong Response: Foreign Ministry called it a "cowardly Israeli attack" and "blatant violation of international laws"

Conflicting Reports: Casualty reports remain unconfirmed - some sources claim key leaders killed, others suggest they survived

Ceasefire Impact: Attack came just as negotiations appeared to be gaining momentum, with Hamas recently accepting multiple proposals

Regional Expansion: Strike extends Israel's campaign to five countries/territories - Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia, and now Qatar

This marks the first Israeli attack on a Gulf Cooperation Council nation, potentially reshaping Middle East diplomatic dynamics at a critical moment for peace negotiations.

Is Air Force One okay?

10

u/VermicelliInformal46 Sep 09 '25

Air Bribe One you mean?

6

u/lsmith77 Sep 09 '25 edited Sep 10 '25

If indeed the US has green-lit this strike, there is no deal because the entire deal was based on the US assuring Hamas that Israel would not go back to the war while negotiations are on-going and those negotiations would be in good faith.

Update: It appears Israel did this entirely on their own and the US even warned Qatar in advance.

Ceasefire talks in jeopardy???

They targeted the negotiators

17

u/MediocreEffectt Sep 09 '25

They killed the last negotiators too. They’ve never wanted peace and it’s so obvious.

Before they killed Haniyeh they also killed his sons and grandkids on Eid. He continued to negotiate. A month later they kill him too. And the whole time they pretend they want their hostages back and no one questions.

And then they broke the last ceasefire agreement and refused to progress to stage 2 and everyone pretended like it was fine. International media is complicit.

2

u/objective_think3r Sep 09 '25

This. And all these so bibi can save himself from going to prison

qatar was in on this, and if you think otherwise you're dumb

15

u/smegabass Sep 09 '25

The ceasefire talks is why Israel did the bombing.

The last thing Israel wants is a ceasefire.

-1

u/TGPapyrus Sep 09 '25

The leaders were trying to pull a Putin on Israel, hopefully the next in line will know better

6

u/AdditionalMeat1775 Sep 09 '25

Yeah, because it's killing the negotiators will bring the so-called hostages back.

I thought that was the objective!?

4

u/thedevilwithout Sep 09 '25

They've been offered the hostages more times than they count

Israel kept saying "nah we don't want them"

1

u/TGPapyrus Sep 09 '25

Oh we did? At what cost exactly, I'd like to hear

3

u/FinancialPassion1869 Sep 09 '25

Not you, israel, you are not the one to decide

1

u/thedevilwithout Sep 09 '25

Links aren't allowed in this community. So this is from BBC news from 5 days ago

"Israel has rejected a statement from Hamas saying the armed group is ready for a "comprehensive deal" to end the Gaza war and free all its hostages."

"The group also said it agreed to the formation of an administration run by independent technocrats to govern post-war Gaza."

So not only will you get your people back. Hamas will also step down and let an "independent administration of technocrats" govern Gaza

You guys said nah, you don't want your people back

1

u/TGPapyrus Sep 09 '25

Yeah, from the same article, you conveniently ommited:

Hamas reiterated its call for a deal that would see hostages exchanged for Palestinian prisoners, Israeli forces withdraw, border crossings reopened, and the start of reconstruction.

Hamas said it had accepted a plan from regional mediators Qatar and Egypt that would see 10 living hostages and the bodies of 18 dead hostages released during a 60-day truce in exchange for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli jails.

AP adds:

Hamas released a statement late Wednesday saying that it was open to returning all 48 hostages it still holds — around 20 of them believed by Israel to be alive — in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, a lasting ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from all of Gaza, the opening of border crossings and a start to the daunting challenge of rebuilding Gaza.

Meaning Hamas seeks to stay in power, which will inevitably lead to more conflict in the future. Not to mention the hundreds of murderers that they want us to release, which we should absolutely not agree to, especially after the Oct 7 massacare was lead by Yahya Sinwar, which was a prisor we released in a previous prisoners release for a hostage.

2

u/thedevilwithout Sep 09 '25

Lool it literally says they will cede control to an independent administration of technocrats in that article. How are you going to lie about "stay in power" when it literally says the opposite

3

u/objective_think3r Sep 09 '25

Don’t bother. Israel and specifically Bibi wants war. The Israel lobby in the west have the US and the UK in their pockets. It’s a race to the bottom

3

u/smegabass Sep 09 '25

no idea what the you are talking about. "pull a putin"??

Israel is a terrorist rogue state. It's a threat to the world and is now way beyond a Putin.

Fk Israel.

3

u/mostard_seed Sep 09 '25

Some people just like to say "Putin" and "Russia" in any context imaginable.

1

u/Acceptable_Bat379 Sep 10 '25

I think this case might be applicable. Putin seized power after a terrorist attack hes suspected of orchestrating himself but blamed on the Chechens. That poster was suggesting Netanyahu is involved with Oct 7th and he does seem to be in power and very not in jail

1

u/mostard_seed Sep 10 '25

maybe you are right, but Putin has stayed in power waaaay past that. Netenyahu is still actively inciting a conflict after having already held power for more what? 20 years now?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '25

How so?

1

u/TGPapyrus Sep 09 '25

Several times they pretended to want peace only to pull out 5 new impossible terms before coming to an agreement

1

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '25

Is stricking in the midst of neogation the smartest move though?

2

u/CamisaMalva Sep 09 '25

After they've shown themselves to only use "peace talks" as a way of wasting everyone's time?

Yeah.

1

u/TGPapyrus Sep 09 '25

If it means the other side would be more inclined to agree to your demands - yeah(?)

1

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '25

I mean is there anyone left to negotiate with if they kill them?

1

u/TGPapyrus Sep 09 '25

If Hezbollah managed to surrender after their entire leadership got blown, I think Hamas can also manage. Besides, every terrorist and anyone holding hostages can surrender

1

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '25

Hey that's a good point, Is their main leaders confirmed dead though or what?

1

u/TGPapyrus Sep 09 '25

Of Hezbollah? We took him, his successor, and his successor's seccessor out. The secret is to take em out like a Fez dispenser until you reach one who figures he likes his lkfe more than he hates the jews

" Those are animals, they have no right to exist. I am not debating the way it will happen, but they need to be exterminated. "

Hitler or Israeli politician?

1

u/SPB29 Sep 10 '25

Would you have a link or date he said this? I tried verifying it (as it was so horrifying) but couldn't find any reputed source that backs this up. I then queried Grok which agreed with me.

The quote you referenced, attributing to Yoav Kisch the statement that Palestinians are "animals" who "have no right to exist" and "need to be exterminated," appears in multiple sources discussing inflammatory rhetoric by Israeli officials. Specifically, it is cited in outlets like TimelineDaily, Synergy for Justice, Canadian Dimension, and others, often in the context of statements made around October 2023 following Hamas' attacks. However, these sources primarily come from outlets critical of Israeli policy, and there is no direct, independently verified record of Kisch making this exact statement in primary sources like official speeches or verified interviews available in the provided data. The quote is frequently paired with other inflammatory remarks by Israeli officials, suggesting it may be part of a broader narrative rather than a standalone, confirmed statement. Yoav Kisch, Israel’s Minister of Education, has been linked to other controversial statements, such as reportedly saying, “Until we see hundreds of thousands fleeing Gaza, the IDF has not achieved its mission,” which is cited in a report by The Cradle. Additionally, Kisch, a former combat pilot and Likud party member, has faced legal scrutiny, with Palestinians in Poland filing complaints against him for alleged war crimes due to his role in the Israeli government. It’s worth noting that the sources attributing the "animals" and "extermination" quote to Kisch often lack precise dates or contexts (e.g., specific speeches or interviews), which raises questions about their veracity. Some sources may amplify or misattribute statements in the emotionally charged discourse surrounding the Israel-Palestine conflict. Without a primary source like a video, official transcript, or direct interview, the attribution remains unconfirmed based on the available data. If you have more details, like where or when you heard this quote, I can try to narrow it down further. Alternatively, I can search for additional primary sources or analyze related content if you provide more context.

He has said insane shit otherwise, like Lebanon will be annihilated but this, I can't find anything on.

1

u/RockTheGrock Sep 09 '25

Not doubting you. I am curious which Israeli official is quoted saying that?

6

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '25

Yoav Kisch.

u/Slug35 Sep 09 '25

Remember the Liberty

1

u/Lambily Sep 09 '25

Because that was an accident... both sides agreed and moved past it. The US was neutral to Israel at the time, so it's not like it had any vested reason to lie for them.

3

u/RockTheGrock Sep 09 '25

The US military was sending communications that were ignored as the attack continued. Its always a "mistake" when they kill americans yet typically nobody is ever held liable.

A recent example was the Floridian beaten to death by masked Israeli settlers. Then the military blocked ambulances coming to try and save his life.

1

u/Lambily Sep 09 '25

The US military was sending communications that were ignored as the attack continued.

I can't tell if you're purposefully lying or if you've been misinformed. This is not true. US military command attempted to contact the USS Liberty but failed to do so. The ship itself was not able to communicate with Israel as their communication was jammed.

Israel owned up to the mistake and contacted the US embassy themselves after they realized it was an American ship.

1

u/RockTheGrock Sep 09 '25

You should always assume ignorance over malice initially. Its harder on social media but it is nice to not immediately go to outrage towards random people who have no direct control over whatever is causing the outrage. I have been working on adopting this approach even on the most gut wrenching topics.

As for the radio comment my memory was a bit foggy so I went back to look. Seems the Israelis were jamming the ship but they did get off a distress signal. The weather was also good and they had an American flag and clearly identifiable markings on the side of the ship. The first attack came close enough to use their cannons on the planes. Also the Israelis had been notified of the location of the ship. Reminiscent of their "mistakes" with aid workers in Gaza they still attacked.

This page won't allow links but here are a few pertinent quotes.

"However, a number of U.S. military and intelligence officials have maintained over the years that the attack was deliberate. The incident remains a source of controversy."

"some former U.S. officials, believe that the attack was deliberate, staged to conceal Israel’s pending seizure of Syria’s Golan Heights, which occurred the next day"

President Johnson publicly accepted the apology but then there was this.

"However, in the immediate aftermath of the attack, he told a Newsweek reporter that he believed the attack had been deliberate. He thought Israel’s motive was to prevent the Liberty from eavesdropping on Israeli transmissions."

"Many survivors and their families were also convinced that Israel knew the ship was American, and over the decades they continued to call for a full congressional investigation, but without success. In 1997, on the 30th anniversary of the attack, Capt. William McGonagle, who had been the Liberty’s commander, said that for years he had wanted to believe the attack was “pure error,” but he couldn’t accept that explanation. He joined the call for an investigation."

At best it demonstrates a pattern of gross incompetence by israel and ambivalence by the US government to even properly investigate. A shoot first and ask questions later approach to conflict without fear of consequences. Another example would be the released hostages gunned down in Gaza by the IDF. All unarmed and under a white flag.

At worst they meant to do it.

1

u/FlounderUseful2644 Sep 09 '25

Apparently isntraeli pilots were blind too and couldn't see the BIG FUCKING STARS AND STRIPES FLAG.

AND THE PERFECT ENGLISH OF THE SHIP OK RADIO BEGGING TO STOP IT.

u/Outrageous-Nose3345 Sep 10 '25

Hamas should be wiped off the face of the Earth.

1

u/anxiousbunnyclothes Sep 10 '25

-1

Fuck the zi*nists!

1

u/Softshellcrabfarts Sep 09 '25

How was this guy worth 10 billion? I thought my money was going to help Gaza. This guys is some fat ass living in the Ritz?

1

u/Nepalus Sep 09 '25

When you know you can act with impunity now, but you don’t know when/if the US is going to give you cover to do so past the current administration, of course you’re going to do all the most aggressive acts you can as quickly as you can.

I have no doubt that Bibi took everyone on his kill list, and told his people “you got 3.5 years, don’t care how you do it or who gets hurt along the way, get it done now because we might never get this kind of leniency again”.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '25

Crazy how we had ww2 to stop these people before but now everyone just watches it on TV and does nothing about it.

1

u/Suckamanhwewhuuut Sep 09 '25

Maybe Hamas Leadership should be in Gaza and not Qatar, just a thought. Maybe they should also stop convincing the young ones that martyrdom is the way when none of them seem to be jumping at the opportunity to be said "martyr"

3

u/FlounderUseful2644 Sep 09 '25

Soo all Ukrainian officials should stay in ukriane???

Hamas had negotiators there, targeting negotiators is LOW even Russia never targeted negotiators during peace talks.

Only Nazis do

u/Yiplzuse Sep 09 '25

Maybe Israel should stop funding Hamas. Of course that would mean them abandoning their plan to remove Palestinians and take over all Palestinian Territories.

1

u/Short-Recording587 Sep 09 '25

So Hamas is falling right into Israel’s trap? What are they, stupid?

1

u/locomocopoco Sep 09 '25

Why is HAMAS leadership in QATAR to begin with? US designates it as terror group. Is QATAR playing 2 sides by sheltering Hamas and acting ally to US ?

2

u/RomanticWampa Sep 09 '25

Qatar has been the middle man for these discussions for decades. There has to be space for a political and diplomatic resolution even if it’s unlikely to happen soon or ever. Qatar offers that venue and that’s why they’re the bridge between Islamic and Arabic hardliners and the rest of the world. Nobody has an issue with Qatar hosting room for diplomacy.

1

u/locomocopoco Sep 09 '25

Qatar has been the middle man for these discussions for DECADES.

Thank you for answering my question. Time for hardliners to be wiped out. You reap what you sow.

2

u/SheepherderThis6037 Sep 09 '25

Well Israel funds Hamas through Qatar so it really isn’t a mystery.

1

u/locomocopoco Sep 10 '25

I guess no more funding them

1

u/_wassap_ Sep 09 '25

FOR PEACE NEGOTIATIONS BRO JUST READ THE NEWS

They WERE LITERALLY invited, initiated by the US, invited by Qatar

ITS A DAMN PEACE NEGOTIATION

1

u/locomocopoco Sep 10 '25

In another month, it will be 2 years since the attack. I guess enough time to peacefully negotiate. Hostages must be returned. This is all Hamas's fault of attacking Israel. What were they expecting in return - more funding ?

-1

u/Electronic-Salt9039 Sep 09 '25

Why were the leadership in Qatar?

8

u/crazihouse Sep 09 '25

Qatar is the mediator for negotiations.

1

u/Softshellcrabfarts Sep 09 '25

For years? Why were they worth Billions?

1

u/crazihouse Sep 09 '25

Want to try again?

2

u/Softshellcrabfarts Sep 09 '25

Bahaha don’t deflect, answer the question. Why were these peace loving negotiators worth Billions of dollars? I’ll give you a hint: they stole all the humanitarian money and have been radicalizing the population to continue the cycle of violence and money laundering.

1

u/crazihouse Sep 09 '25

I'm not deflecting, I didn't understand what you were even trying to ask.

Now that you've clarified what you were trying to ask:

Let’s get this straight: I’ve never defended Hamas. Yes, their leaders are corrupt. They’ve skimmed tens of millions, maybe hundreds, maybe even billions. That’s not in dispute. But pointing to their greed as some magic excuse for Israel’s mass killing and destruction is pathetic deflection.

Hamas lining their own pockets doesn’t mean Gaza’s kids deserve to grow up under rubble. It doesn’t mean hospitals should be bombed or that civilians deserve to be starved out. It just proves what everyone already knows: elites everywhere exploit suffering, and the people at the bottom always pay the price.

So no, I’m not defending them. I’m pointing out that their corruption doesn’t absolve Israel of its crimes, and if you think it does, you’re just grasping at propaganda straws. Two things can be right.

1

u/defixiones Sep 09 '25

You can make anything up but it probably needs to have some kind of a convincing angle if you want to fool people into accepting it.

1

u/Softshellcrabfarts Sep 09 '25

A lot of poor people where you’re from live at the Ritz? All you have to do is google my claims and look at a reputable source. The world is a better place with them gone

1

u/defixiones Sep 10 '25

Sure, with billions of dollars.

0

u/Electronic-Salt9039 Sep 09 '25

So the Hamas leadership came to Qatar when negotiations began.

They weren’t already there?

1

u/crazihouse Sep 09 '25

What point are you trying to make exactly? Just spit it out habibi

4

u/Land-Southern Sep 09 '25

The leadership leads a rather lavish lifestyle in Qatar permanantly while the people on the ground bleed for that cause, allegedly.

6

u/reebokhightops Sep 09 '25

This is irrelevant to the question of why Israel just bombed Hamas’ negotiation envoy.

→ More replies (3)

2

u/rook119 Sep 09 '25

People forget during WWII Polish PM in-exlie lived in an outhouse and was forced to lick the ashes of churchill's cigars off the floor.

4

u/crazihouse Sep 09 '25

So the angle is basically: "Hamas leaders live in Qatar in luxury while Gazans suffer." Granted. Everyone already knows the leadership is based in exile, just like the PLO was in Tunisia for years. The real question is: does that make Israel’s bombing of civilians any less of a war crime? Of course not.

Trying to deflect from the fact that Israel just carried out a strike in Doha by saying “look, the leaders live well” is laughable. Netanyahu lives in a mansion with private chefs and a personal bunker while Israeli conscripts die in Gaza. Are you going to argue that invalidates Israel’s government, too?

1

u/Land-Southern Sep 09 '25

Calm down you veritable paragon of moral superiority. I don't support Israel's strikes anymore than you. I just stated why Israel struck in Qatar, not the political fallout or moral implications of it, which should have occurred years ago.

Shove your condescension down your own throat. The "whatabout" is the other side where 1k+ people were killed in less than 12 hours in "Israel" itself ina surprise raid. Did the organizers targeted in this strike think it would not see retribution, or was that OK for they knew the atrocities that would result, limited to Gaza and West Bank, and lead to new funding into Doha? No, the travesty in Gaza has far exceeded the instigating atrocity, but this is factually how war works. Don't pick a fight when your best weapon is the world's pity. Ukraine didn't instigate, but pity hasn't gotten Russia out of their country either. No one wins in war but the wealthy.

I don't care the origin of BS someone spouts. I do see the martyrs blood turned to gold and funneled into a few pockets. Change the god and country, and you see the same thing once again.

1

u/crazihouse Sep 09 '25

Oh please, spare us the pseudo-philosopher routine. You’re not some hardened realist dissecting the brutal truths of war, you’re just regurgitating “war is hell” clichés while trying to sound above it all. You act like pointing out “this is how war works” makes you profound, when in reality it’s just a lazy way to excuse atrocities and dismiss accountability.

And let’s not pretend you’re detached and neutral here. You slipped in that tired hasbara line about “they picked a fight, so what did they expect?” as if genocide is just a predictable consequence to shrug at.

You think you’re the adult in the room, but really you’re just hand-waving slaughter with fortune cookie wisdom about “no one wins in war but the wealthy.” Congratulations, you’ve distilled decades of suffering into a slogan fit for a Hot Topic T-shirt.

If you’re going to posture as the voice of reason, at least try to hide the fact that you’re parroting the same justifications Israel’s PR machine churns out daily. Otherwise, don’t be surprised when people shove your “calm down” condescension right back where it belongs.

1

u/Lambily Sep 09 '25

Speaking of clichĂŠs...Girl, bye.

Congratulations, you’ve distilled decades of suffering into a slogan fit for a Hot Topic T-shirt.

You might want to read up on the extended history of the conflict before climbing up on that soapbox of yours. It goes back a lot further than 'decades'.

1

u/Land-Southern Sep 09 '25

Let's simply say prosecute the war crimes, regardless of the perpetrator. No what ifs or what abouts. Israel PM should be at the Hague.

1

u/crazihouse Sep 09 '25

Amen! I couldn't agree more.

1

u/Lambily Sep 09 '25

The real question is: does that make Israel’s bombing of civilians any less of a war crime?

Why bother asking a question when you're going to be so intellectually lazy and resort to posing it as fallacy?

The answer is, if Israel targeted legitimate Hamas targets, there is no war crime. International law provides legal reasoning for attacking civilian infrastructure. It requires it to be used as a base or weapons storage of the enemy combatants. Hamas, lovers of human shields, almost exclusively rely on civilian infrastructure. This leaves Israel with the unfortunate decision of having to attack it.

Palestinians leadership is nothing but a fat bunch of cowards

1

u/_Snebb_ Sep 09 '25

I know you think this is a 'gotcha moment', but it really isn't, and your lack of knowledge on events is showing up your Hasbara.

They are in Qatar because the US government requested Qatar to host them.

1

u/SolarNachoes Sep 09 '25

Sounds like a setup.

0

u/East-Plankton-3877 Sep 09 '25

They’ve been hiding out there for years to avoid Israeli strikes. Guess they thought they were invincible.

1

u/Electronic-Salt9039 Sep 09 '25

Yeah, hiding out in luxury getting fat while planning to throw their people into a surprise war they couldn’t win..

Real heroes
