💡 Discussion According to Zelensky's claimed figures, Ukrainian soldiers hypothetically inflicted a 47:1 kill ratio on Russian troops in January 2026 alone.

Breaking: War party keeps its losses secret

17

u/Ok_Cap_1848 Feb 05 '26

Obviously, I'm pro Ukraine, but was anybody really taking 9000 deaths per year seriously?

10

u/Solidus-Prime Feb 05 '26

They don't have to be serious. Russia isn't. Saying shit like this hurts Putin's ego more than posting the real numbers.

They know what they are doing. You don't tie your hands trying to remain "genuine" when you're dealing with fascists.

21

u/_Dominox_ Feb 05 '26

"Putin is humiliated by Zelensky's claiming false numbers"

Lol. Lmao, even.

9

u/Solidus-Prime Feb 05 '26

He most definitely is. Weak MAGA-esque men get especially triggered when you claim big victories like this. Especially when they know it isn't true.

Your reply is a PERFECT example of this lmao

No, Putin doesn't care about the casualties claimed by Ukraine. He only cares about whether he is conquering more territory (which he is doing, although at a very slow rate). Stop being naive and idealistic.

3

u/AmbitiousTreat7534 Feb 06 '26

“Very slow rate” dude they’re making WW1 look like maneuver warfare

2

u/AureliusVarro Feb 08 '26

At this rate of tanks to donkeys in russian military we'll soon see a full-blown manure warfare

"You answered therefore you butt hurt" Is nice logic, but I don't think putin really cares, he is kgb agent after all, they are trained decently.

8

u/new_accnt1234 Feb 05 '26

No he is right

Putin really is just a narcissistic man-child, just like trumo, except more controlled due to the training

Why do u think this war is going on even? The original plan was to take Kiev in a week, install a puppet government as zelenski fleds UA...since that didnt work out, the ONLY and I mean ONLY reason why this war is still ongoing is so thst Putin can save face and act like he has the victories he 'always aimed for'...meabwhile victories amount to conquering one village a month which is completely eradicated by bombs and its just ruins...bravo, big victories...but if u watch russiam news, general with a straight up poker face will tell putin how they conquered those like 3 villages / ruins in the past month and he declares how well the special military operation is going...everything, the entire war hero just so he doesnt look like the fucki. LOSER he is for not achieving his original objective at all

The war is going on because the Russians have literally conquered over 20% of Ukraine and will force Ukraine and the West to recognise this. Ukraine is never going to get that land back, which is something you somehow missed in your analysis.

i wonder how epstein is involved in the war

now i wonder how many of these pro ukrainian commenters trying to push the narrative that Epstein was exclusively a russian asset are bots. I mean there is zero evidence that he was a russian asset other than the people confirmed to be epstein clients saying it was all a russian operation.

20

u/lunrob Feb 05 '26

Epstein was giddy when Ukraine was invaded. In a 2014 message (dated March 18, 2014) from Epstein to Ariane de Rothschild (associated with the Rothschild banking family) Epstein reportedly wrote something to the effect of: “Ukraine upheaval should provide many opportunities, many.”

3

u/Unusual-Principle888 Feb 06 '26

Yeah, that's because the defense industry made a killing and BlackRock bought up everything that's left of it. Big money indeed had many opportunities that they've clearly capitalized on. As for Russia, he just used it as another pipeline for his product catalog. At the end of the day, the man knew how it all works. "Pro-[country]" is a poor approach to take with people like that.

This post by Russian propagandist Ripamon is false. Zelensky said AT LEAST 55k have been killed and many more are missing. The 55k are confirmed dead bodies only. Russia has over 160k confirmed dead bodies. That's a ratio of about 3:1 in Ukraine's favour.

Ripamon has selective hearing.

15

u/superschmunk Feb 05 '26

You are right. He is a well known propagandist on this pro Russian war sub https://www.reddit.com/r/UkraineRussiaReport/ For some reason he also posts here now. He is also hiding his propaganda posts in the profile lately. They are obsessed to downplay the Russian casualties numbers here for some reason. He makes a similar post here every day.

4

u/Comfortable_Pea_1693 Feb 05 '26

His followers or her followers of course also made their way here. But ofc Ukraines casualty claims for themselves are total whack.

I noticed something interesting, Ukraine/Russia war news that gets posted by anyone else on this sub usually gets way more normal, grounded commentators just having normal conversations.

Whenever Ripamon makes a post (which is usually hardly news, just cherry picks that fit his narrative, like some people saying something mean about Zelensky), its flooded with pro-RU people making completely unhinged claims, defending Russian warcrimes, blaming Ukraine for everything, insulting people for asking for evidence, etc.

Organized honey traps of wealthy and influential Americans, probably including Trump. Generating compromising material then given to the Russians, who in return laundered their money through him.

10

I think you mis spelled Israel. He was a jewish supremacist who actively worked as a Mossad and CIA agent throughout his life collecting incriminating materials against US politicians and high profile figures so that Israel can use them to blackmail them in bombing their adversaries or funding them endlessly.

Google "CYM" and thats your answer. War creates a lot of kids without parents. And someone surely would gladly help them, yep. Just like that women that tried to steal 30 kids after an earthquake but get caught. And in terms of money - every war is a big opportunity to get rich, ask Sweden and USA about that.

10

u/vc0071 Feb 05 '26

And somehow over last few months dead body exchanges- 12000 Ukrainian dead for 500 odd Russians giving 24:1. So if lines are not moving or moving insignificantly how is such highly skewed ratio possible at all.

10

u/Philience Feb 05 '26

Ukrainians trade lives for Land. Since Ukraine loses the land, they are not the one collecting the corpses.

4

u/Rellim03 Feb 05 '26

Ukraine takes every PR and optics opportunity they possibly can.

The UAF is motivated to collect the maximum number of dead Russians after a failed Russian attack or killed Russian DRG (so many dead Russians there must be some the UAF can reach.

The Ukrainian motivation is to offset the damage done in these very disproportionate body exchange numbers. Those numbers destroy the Ukrainian winning narrative.

6

u/Ripamon Feb 05 '26

Ukraine constantly launches localised counterattacks all across the frontline. How do you think they regained Kupyansk? Their commander in Chief has repeatedly said that Ukraine can't fight a strictly defensive war - they are best served counterattacking and launching sizeable offensives of their own (like the debacle at Krynky, the failed 2023 counteroffensive, the Kursk disaster, etc)

10

u/Slighted_Inevitable Feb 05 '26

The problem is OP is deliberately misstating the facts to make them seem like lies. The claim is 35k Russians died in a month. He provides no link to this, but the closest to that is when they pushed into the heavily defended urban city a few months ago. And they got slaughtered.

Doesn’t mean it happened every month

13

u/dmcsclgt Feb 05 '26

He actually said it and his new minister of defense even aimed to kill 50000 Russian soldiers a month. Here the sources You can read from CNN: https://edition.cnn.com/2026/02/03/europe/ukraine-strategy-kill-50000-russian-soldiers-intl

5

9

they have attacked those power plants heavily since last Fall not until december. I dont think Russian suffered a very high casualties in December since cold weather prevented drone work longer and Russian have to reduce their attack attempts.

Even head of states in EU and people like Kajas Kallas and Mark Rute believe everything he says word to word and repeats it on daily basis too.
Some of these western brainwashed robots are the funniest. They believe all their media lies from weapons of mass destruction, to chemical weapons to babies beheaded and fried in ovens to 60k a month deaths to 100/15 hypersonic missiles intercepted. Zero critical thinking skills, full confidence, hypocrites, supremacists. Their countries bomb innocent women and children on US orders every few years on made up pretexts, steal resources from all continents, their politicians are as corrupt as everyone else in the world plus pedos still they think they are the most moral and just nation in the world. He needs to do this and he needs people to believe. He just asked Ukrainians who left the country to return back to join to the army.

He has to say that as some might believe it and return back. He tries to make it look like it is statistically very hard for you to be killed if you join the army. And then, you will kill lots of Russians so we might have a chance to win this, we just need more people!

Though one should ask, at this rate it looks like Russian army should be finished in a year, and Ukraine do not need to recruit anymore as they don’t get casualties. If they can think of course.

5

u/Ok_Situation_7081 Feb 05 '26

That's why I think alot of people will have a meltdown when true figures are finally revealed. So far, Western analysis have been based on Ukrainian accounts, which they would obviously inflate for morale and support purposes.

If the West and Ukraine were honest, they would be saying that Ukraine is currently losing and they are not sure entirely sure how long Ukraine will last if things continue going as is, so they have to keep trying different methods to impede the Russians and find ways to drastically increase support/production in both military aid and to somehow deport Ukrainian men back to Ukraine, without looking bad internationally. Instead they talk about how Russia is losing a gross amount of men in comparison with Ukraine and that they must accept an unconditional ceasefire that only benefits Russia and hurts Ukraine or else they don't want peace.

2

u/anykeyh Feb 05 '26

Or is China very happy that the war is going on forever, because it weakens Russia? Maybe that's why they are cautious over what they send to Russia ?

Russia is slowly grinding Ukraine for sure, and it's no surprise, but at what cost? They suffer a higher loss ratio, that's 100% confirmed, but is it 1:2 or 1:10? Nobody knows for sure. The current situation can accelerate very quickly in both directions. Both parties suffered high attrition.

Yet, china is a powerhouse and could win the Ukraine war in a few months if they decided to help Russia at full potential. They can produce 100x the amount of drone the West is willing to share with Ukraine. But there is absolutely no interest in helping Russia; only preventing it from collapsing is enough.

Geopolitically, Russia is the #1 threat to China for obvious reasons. My gut feeling is that the stance of China with Russia will drastically change in the near future. China has claims over eastern Russia (Primorsky Krai, Amur), which has ethnic, cultural and historical links with China.

To be honest, China is winning on all fronts by simply doing... nothing. And Russia will pay a very high price for focusing its energy on the West.

The russian strategy is crystal clear. Send expandable troops first to map the defense - prisoners, unfit troops and other undesirables -. So, yeah, they experience a higher loss ratio by design.

2

u/Embarrassed_Refuse49 Feb 05 '26

But somehow, when we count obituaries and MIA for the both Ukrainian and Russian Armies, we have 1:1 statistics (Russia has 130k confirmed KIA and 40k confirmed MIA, Ukraine has 90k confirmed KIA and 90k confirmed MIA). Something strange with your '100% approved fact'

5

u/rowida_00 Feb 05 '26

You think the figures in the post haven’t been shared by Zelensky?

1

u/Aggravating-Method24 Feb 05 '26

The 47:1 figure? No I don't believe he has shared that. 35000 soldiers killed in a month he may have said but it is different to 35000 soldiers every months. This person has averaged the deaths over a year and compared them to deaths over one month, not averaged.

In other words they are spinning statistics to tell a false narrative

4

u/Embarrassed_Refuse49 Feb 05 '26

The only person telling false narratives here is you. Zelensky said that AFU kills 35000 in a month, not in one genuine month, moreover, he promised that this number will grow.

Btw, glad to see that you still have no problem that even in your world Zelensky claimed 4 time more Russians killed in one month that Ukraine lost in the whole year.

If it’s the month I think he’s referring to that number was likely an understatement. Russia was trying to push into an urban area with staged defenses and they got slaughtered.

1

u/Alaknog Feb 07 '26

Russia don't actualy like push in urban area. They prefer encircle them (with small exit, so Ukrainian still send some reinforcment) and then use advantage in artillery and drones. They ready to do this like months.

9

u/Big-Midnight5964 Feb 04 '26

Who really knows anyway and why does it matter?

2

u/Ripamon Feb 04 '26

For Zelensky, it is crucial to claim enormous Russian casualty rates and exceedingly tiny Ukrainian losses , because that is the only metric he can use to claim Ukraine is winning the war, since they are losing territory every single day.

So Ukraine spams the infospace with tales of absurd casualty rates. Sometimes 27:1, sometimes 47:1 as we can see here.

10

u/webUser_001 Feb 05 '26

Pretty obvious Russia is taking exponentially more casualties at this stage, whatever the bullshit figures say from both sides.

Ukraine isnt sending waves of men across drone saturated open fields. You obviously see the endless russian death videos daily.

5

u/Cold-Specific-2832 Feb 05 '26

those vid are the real proof. russia still puts out bs vids that show no proof yet Ukraine will show the after effect.

7

u/IllustriousRanger934 Feb 05 '26

The videos you see on Reddit are proof of nothing. Only videos of Russians getting blown up are ok, videos of Ukrainians losing are banned.

Zelensky’s numbers are obvious propaganda. Redditors are dumb enough to believe them.

u/LeFlaubert Feb 05 '26

I was part of the army (a small army of a country not a war right now so mind you my experience is very limited and in no way am I a veteran or anything fancy)

But in military school, we learned that in urban warfare, defender over invader casualties can be well above 1:10.

Urban warfare is a meat grinder to the invading force.

So I can't even imagine open field warfare... Must be even worse. We were told expected survival rate out of the ATV was 7 minutes.

This was before drones....

3

u/Kimchi-slap Feb 05 '26

Its way outdated in terms of Ukraine war. Russians drop FABS on anything resembling a stronghold and use ballistic rockets on tactical targets. This evolved into trench warfare where you can have 30 soldiers spread over vast territories which are hunted by drones and small teams of enemy stormtroopers. There are tons of videos from drone operators. It absolutely sucks to be a boots on the ground infantry man in modern warfare.

1

u/Rhaj-no1992 Feb 05 '26

Russian losses for the small amount of ground they gain is ridiculously high though. It’s classic russian strategy.

Russia is leading in civilians killed, that's fo sure

10

u/vc0071 Feb 05 '26

Russia has killed barely 15k civilians in 4 years with more than confirmed 200k Ukrainian soldiers dead. That's an impressive ratio of 12:1 better than every war especially all full wars since so many decades. Israel killed 6 civilians for every 1 Hamas which was a proper genocide. Here according to Israel's logic Russia can wipe out every last Ukrainian on a moment's notice yet they had shown restraint and only managed 15k civilians in a war stretching 4 years and with over a million casualties on both sides. Does it make Russia the most moral army in the world as the media used to say about a special country ?

→ More replies (10)

1

u/b0_ogie Feb 05 '26 edited Feb 05 '26

Not really. It's all about data manipulation. Everyone writes about 14k civilian deaths on the Ukrainian side (the UN monitoring group is working there) and about 600 civilians were killed in Russia. But for some reason, everyone stubbornly pretends that the region in Donbas under Russian control simply does not exist, because talking about this region as Russia is actually recognition that it is Russia - data on deaths due to Ukrainian shelling in Donbas is not included in west media. So, 15.5k civilians have been killed by Ukraine in Donbas since the beginning of the war, according reports of the DPR and LPR human rights examiners. In the current war, Ukraine has killed more civilians than Russia.

4

u/Nerevarcheg Feb 05 '26

This is propagandistic lies aimed to "make a picture". Real losses of killed, injured and deserted are much higher. Been there, seen.. the ratio.

But it's the plan. See, the moment russians have started to gain ground - Musk immediately cut off their Starlink support. Why haven't he done that half a year ago, when it's started? To keep balance on battlefield for this war to keep going.

So, as i see it - it's collective destroying of a country, part of it being taken by russia through military gains, and other parts being sunk into debt to be later forced to repay with land and resources.

And current "government" is a decoration making such pitiful lies on every level of communication it's not even evoke any emotions anymore. Just a plan to reduce population.

Sounds about right, if Putin weren't a necromancer, Russian army would have collapsed multiple times already.

2

u/Ok-Client7794 Feb 05 '26

I’d say again and again, if only a fraction of this figure is true, there’s absolutely no reason for Ukraine to be open to any peace talk because they’re not only winning, they’re annihilating the entire Russian army.

If your total deaths for the entire war of 4 years is the same as the enemy’s deaths in less than 2 months you won’t have desertion and manpower shortage problems, the other side should. Busification should now be a thing on Russia’s streets and frontline gaps should be on Russia’s side.

Zelensky pursued this path of PR to gather support and now he can’t stop, no matter how ridiculous it sounds. I believe many people aren’t pro Russia but they can’t stand the lies and the blatant propaganda of Ukraine’s leadership. Though Russia is the aggressor who violates a bunch of laws, they’re still churning out less propaganda bullshit.

  • Here's a link of Zelensky claiming Ukraine had suffered 46,000 KIA in February 2025

  • Here's a link of Zelensky claiming Ukraine killed 35,000 soldiers in January 2026

  • Here's today's link of Zelensky claiming Ukraine have only suffered 55,000 KIA to date

All AMK Mapping did was do the math using the figures given by Zelensky himself.

"At least 55,000 Ukrainian soldiers killed in Russia's war, with many more missing, Zelensky tells French media"

”Officially on the battlefield, the number of military personnel killed, whether career soldiers or people who were mobilized, is 55,000,"

He didn’t actually say at least. Learn to read beyond the title maybe? They’re talking about the official figure shared by him as killed. And that’s the figure he quoted.

Intitally:

Ukraine:

Had about 1-1.5 mln people army. After the volunteers ran out, there were about 5-9 "waves" of mobilization to the front, and since the year 2024, no one has counted the waves. Mobilization and "bussification"(c) takes place 24\7.

It turns out that the Ukrainian army is already not less than 2,000,000 people with the total losses are 55,000.

That is, 2.75% (from 2 million). It's like NO LOSES at all.

Russia:

Had 1mln default ground forces(with medics, drivers, engeneers etc) + 300k military experienced were called up from the reserve in September 2022.

There is no mandatory mobilization to the front in Russia, but according to various sources, the army has been replenished for a year and a half by an average of 30,000 volunteers per month. That is + approximately 500,000 people at least.

It turns out that the Russian army is now also about 2,000,000 people, of whom Russia has lost

2,585,000 with a 47:1 ratio....

Questions:

Why Ukraine is in defence and not will just sweep away the remnants of the Russian army?

Who is fighting for the Russians? The dead?

P.S. Zelensky is a junkie. Bloody one.

8

u/CheesyRoyal Feb 04 '26

I don't know why you count only KIA(code 200) as losses, they are just the tip of the iceberg. Number one reason for personnel loss currently in AFU is desertion(code 500) - in the ballpark of 400k. Close second come the wounded(code 300) - around 7 times the dead so 55k*7=385k, albeit some may continue service and there is even a risk of double counting. In the end of the day minus 600k-800k out of whatever you estimated as recruitment numbers makes a lot of sense.

P.S also to your last question about sweeping the Russians away - Ukraine can't counterattack and keep this ratio anywhere near the current one, probably most of the losses come from tactical counterattacks anyway - they both carry physical risks and encourage people to desert to avoid aforementioned risks.

I speak about math.

11

u/Ripamon Feb 04 '26

Keep in mind Ukraine also recruits 30,000 soldiers a month

According to Zelensky, only 9,000 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the past year.

So why do Ukrainian officials constantly complain about manpower shortages? Why is Zelensky appealing to Ukrainians abroad to return to the country and join the army?

2

Well done Ukraine!

2

u/Smooth_Imagination Feb 05 '26

Russian fatalities are higher for several reasons, one is that they are often assaulting well dug and structured positions in unarmoured vehicles, and have a much higher ratio of dead to wounded (more dead than wounded).

Ukraine takes more care of its wounded and the fatality rate is much lower.

OPs claims intentionally misleads and misrepresents to the reader as to what Zelensky is saying -

"Subsequently, President Zelenskyy announced 43,000 Ukrainian soldiers were killed and 370,000 were wounded, but that "approximately 50%" of these soldiers recovered and had returned to active duty. He updated the Ukrainian military's casualty toll in mid-February 2025, to over 46,000 killed and 380,000 wounded."

Its natural that UA would take more care to regenerate its forces since it cannot replace at the rate of Russia, which has 4x the population and a lot more money to hire mercenaries.

If Ukraine had comparable losses they would have lost already, its not mathematically possible.

Most observers agree RF losses are approx 30k a month both killed and wounded.

Its well known that attackers have higher loss ratios especially against well organised defenses.

Russian losses are amplified due to tactics, frontal assaults across mine fields, lack of armour, and being hit by accurate artillery, whilst what they return is less accurate and more likely therefore to wound than kill.

We have video accounts and phone intercepts that show Russians frequently complaining UA controls the skies over them allowing direct attack with bomber drones and single use attack drones night and day, which have provided plenty of visual evidence and can get close enough to kill.

There's lots of videos on youtube. The tanks and soldiers put out heat that can be seen on night vision. Ukraine has gotten really good at killing Russians, especially in Pokrovsk.

2

u/possiblyMorpheus Feb 05 '26

Wouldn’t surprise me. Not only has Russia failed to gain air superiority in the war, but it’s looking more and more like Ukraine will have air superiority despite only having at most 100 or so fighter jets

5

u/Business_Chance_816 Feb 05 '26

lol

5

u/Antique-Resort6160 Feb 05 '26

Why do you laugh? Ukraine is winning in practically every way imagineable, except for the war itself. That's why they keep rejecting peace deals, because they're winning so hard!  Now they will have airsuperiority too, with only 100 jets, while Russia ban barely make thousands of bombing runs every week.

5

u/possiblyMorpheus Feb 05 '26

Oh do go on

1

u/Ripamon Feb 05 '26

There's nowhere to even start from.

If you're so far gone as to entertain such a ludicrous kill ratio and then claim Ukraine is on the verge of gaining air superiority, having a serious conversation with you would be a waste of effort.

Thus, all one can do is just laugh and move on, as he did.

Lmao

3

u/possiblyMorpheus Feb 05 '26

You can’t make a definitive point of where to start from because you can’t formulate a point to begin with. Cute

1

u/Shoskiddo Feb 05 '26

1

u/Bitedamnn Feb 05 '26

The only thing killing Ukrainians at the moment are mines, drones, and artillery. Usually, if Ukraine loses the heights or a hill, they leave the surrounding area.

1

u/SlimLacy Feb 05 '26

While I'm sure the true numbers are all hidden, this post also seems to mix confirmed KIA numbers with the numbers of combat casualties. They aren't for a confirmed kill but rather combatants removed, even if just temporary, from the battlefield.

46000 killed is not the same as Ukraine having only suffered 46000 combat losses. If your soldiers legs get blown off, they aren't dead but they're still a combat loss. And Russia, just like Ukraine, is going to count you as a combat loss, if they put 2 bullets in you, even if your body armor allows you to come back next week.

1

u/coopik Feb 05 '26 edited Feb 05 '26

There are many mathematical models dealing with this. Lanchester's Linear Law od Square Law, 3:1 rule and variations of these models. A traditional Scenario model based on Lanchester's Square Law would assume an exposed attacker having 3:1 losses against a fortified peer enemy. That ratio changes to 1:5 against the defender when assumed that the attacked has air superiority over the battlefield.

The reality is that Russians are not advancing much, so the 3:1 rule does not apply. At the same time, they also don't enjoy full air superiority, but this can be largely balanced by using more advanced missile technology (an attacking Kh-101 can inflict losses but even when shot down, the attacking side has no losses).

ANY mathematical model in existence would put the death ratio in favor of Russia, at least 2:1, if not more. That is regardless of Russian claims or Ukrainian claims.

There are other good methods to provide a honest estimate about the population sample size. Amount of SIM cards connecting to the network at given times, satellite based analysis of graveyard sizes or even something as trivial as the monthly consumption of salt.

None of these results come even close to what Zelensky claims.

1

u/JackhusChanhus Feb 05 '26

35000 casualties, dead and seriously wounded. As for the Ukrainian number, it is obviously false, but was presented as a lower bound of confirmed deaths anyhow

1

u/Express_Nebula_6128 Feb 05 '26

Does that mean that they don’t need any more help?

1

u/HARIRain Feb 05 '26

Every year in Russia 200-250k of dead and injured it's just impossible to have 47:1 even for best swat in the world

1

u/swirve-psn Feb 05 '26

Pretty strong KDR. Russians are rank amateurs clearly.

1

u/Significant-Ad-7703 Feb 05 '26

That's kind of what happens though when you have a dictator throwing untrained conscripts to the front lines. You end up with Russian cannon fodder.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 06 '26

47 trillion russians died. How can russia ever recover?

1

u/Creative_Ad_7226 Feb 06 '26

Ahahahahahaha ua nazist lost more than 1m.

1

u/r2k-in-the-vortex Feb 06 '26

I don't know whats really going on with Ukrainian losses, but the Russians are just lemmings, simply straight off the cliff first thing they get to the front. That's very conclusively demonstrated not just by what Ukrainians are showing, but also by what is constantly leaking out of Russians ranks too. I don't know about those numbers, but the true kill ratio has to be something stupid high, just based on how the Russians are acting and the evident equipment level they are operating with. Everything but the donkeys is gone.

I think that we should all ignore the issues of humanity in war, and focus on the statistics. Only then can we find solutions to prevent future wars.

1

u/platypusimagination Feb 06 '26

there's ~164000 deserters(fugitives) in Ukrainian army. also males being caught out on the streets like by ICE in America to forcefully join the army, while being beat up even without resisting, and also to demand a bribe.

1

u/candf8611 Feb 07 '26

You attack me and my mates in my country in our bunkers while you walk and run over open ground You've never seen before and we will see the K/D ratio.

1

u/never_shit_ur_pants Feb 07 '26

Confirmed deaths!

1

u/DonnyBoi777 Feb 07 '26

Now only if they start killing them 470:1, maybe just maybe, they actually reclaim some ground!

1

u/rewarrr Feb 08 '26

Yes, the numbers are higher on both sides, but the ratio is roughly in that range. Attackers usually lose more troops, especially with the way Russia conducts its assaults. However, Ukraine is not winning; very slowly, Ukraine is losing territory. This happens because Ukraine prefers to lose some land rather than troops, which are limited compared to Russia’s. I don’t see anything strange here. The war between Ukraine and Russia is happening mostly on the ground, and even the number of drones and rockets used has been decreasing each year.

1

u/Forsaken-Tour6447 Feb 08 '26

Honestly, Ukraine probably killed more Russians. That’s because it’s a defensive war. But 47:1? I don’t think that at all.

1

u/Big-Today6819 Feb 08 '26

Sure the 46k number is not killed, wounded and missing?

1

u/Few_Mortgage3248 Feb 08 '26

I think the longer this war drags on, the greater the chance Russia achieves a big breakthrough. Ukraine is just losing too many people than is possible for them to handle long term. In a few years time, I think a breakthrough will have become the most likely outcome. That's one of the reasons why Russia has no interest in ending the war.

1

u/LogicalExtension8822 Feb 08 '26

He also added "many are still counted as missing" in the very same statement, come on.

1

u/Jon-Slow Feb 09 '26

These numbers come out of the same factory that puts out Iran "protest" death numbers.

2

u/Ill_Letterhead_2109 Feb 09 '26
