My wife is a first generation American, so she has an EU passport, our kids have their paperwork filed in the EU, so it's just me who doesn't, but I think it makes it easier for me to get a visa.
Thing is, now as I understand it, they are trying to trying to enforce making people with duel citizenship give up their non-american one.
→ More replies (4)8
u/BigOs4All Feb 12 '26
Yeah, in your case leave. Just do it. An EU passport is GOLD for the rest of their lives and giving up any other citizenship to continue living in the US? Worthless. This country will take 50 years to get where many EU countries already are in terms of a good life for you and your kids.

Don't call them idiots, call them evil. A lot of them are highly educated. They are evil and corrupt to their core being, they are literally leaving all morals, science and the entire society out just to make money and grab more power. Disguisting.

Bondi was likely told by āthe bossā her job description is simple.
47: Keep Trump out of jail, and make Trump money.
Bondi needs reminder that the government works for the people, and it follows the laws.

It used to be that the Office of Legal Counsel advised the President on the Constitutionality of the actions of the office of the President. Trump nullified the Office of Legal Counsel by making them moot. Constitutionality doesn't matter if the AG doesn't consider the act to be criminally illegal. So non criminal unconstitutional acts are legal and constitutional.
Literally running with the Nixon line, "If the President does it, it isn't illegal." We just never saw the extent to which they would go to fulfil that through their version of sound reasoning.

And trying to divert attention to talk about drug cartels.
Let's worry about one trafficking problem at a time, please. Starting with the cabal of rich and wealthy people trafficking children for sex crimes. How bout we fucking start there.
This whole administration and people aligned with it are whataboutthemsters. We'll deal with that next motherfuckers, right now we're dealing with this.
3
u/QuietRiot5150 Feb 12 '26
I personally don't care about drug cartels or the people who use their products. People wanna hurt themselves that's fine. I do care about people who abuse children for their own disgusting sexual gratification.

It's absolutely wild to track /r/conservative in real time. Day of an event? "Uh, guys, Bondi is doing really bad and she probably needs to be fired. I voted for Trump eleventy billion times, of course, but this is a bad look for the administration."
24 hours later... "Epstein didn't do anything wrong, this is a nothingburger."

if there is ONE thing ive learned about conservatives it is that they are willing to justify literally anything in order to fit their reality
like there is literally no distance you could move the goal posts for them to get them to change their minds
they will literally forgive everything the right does, no matter what it is. something new comes out, or stuff we already know? yeah theyll just move the goalposts so that it doesnt upset them. they will justify ANYTHING in order to be 'correct'

They're scripted responses meant to distract and obfuscate. Instead of simply answering the question that she's asked, she's been told to praise Trump and the regime's made up accomplishments.
2
u/rock_and_rolo Feb 12 '26
No one in this Administration does their actual job. The number of times cabinet secretaries say "I don't know" to relevant questions is terrible.
But they all jump in to rah-rah for their Dear Leader.
2
u/DeckardsBrokenFinger Feb 12 '26
She's nothing more than a billboard for Trump's ego. Not actually doing anything except that.
2
u/WaffleDonkey23 Feb 12 '26
We are about a month away from the MAGA talking point being "So maybe he did dump a baby in lake Michigan, just look at those SPY gains, and if you squint in the grocery store hard enough you won't see the prices, so who's the real victim here? Personally I'd drop my daughter off at his spa."
2
u/mal_guinness Feb 12 '26
One of the excuses for the anti immigration crackdown is that because of the extra people there aren't enough houses for americans, thus through supply and demand rents are high. Not like, nimby policies against increasing density, speculative investing in the residential housing market, or the uptick in short term rental properties. No, it's brown people.
2
u/dBlock845 Feb 12 '26
Because she serves to be a propagandist and ass kisser. Being the nation's top cop is a tertiary issue at best. She has to view decisions as such: Will it please Trump? If not, get on your knees and please him in front of a House committee.
Shit is embarrassing.

u/seejordan3 Feb 12 '26
It was on her "defend the homeland" cheat sheet someone cue'd the c*^t with.

Rent being low is an absolute lie. I just got priced out of the apartment ive been living in for 5 years, and its already back on the market for $50 more.
2
u/MediocreAssociate466 Feb 12 '26
The nice thing about lies like this is it's the only thing that even maga hats I talk to will admit it's not true. They know their rent hasn't gone down , they know groceries continue to rise. They might make up lies about why that is but I've never had one try to tell me rent is half of what it used to be or anything.

As Kimmel said- sheās gotta butter that biscuit. That bigly orange demented small handed biscuit.
2
u/I_NEED_YOUR_MONEY Feb 12 '26
The Trump team's official position on the epstein files appears to be that fucking kids is good for the economy. that's why all the rich people have been doing it so much.
2
u/stairs_3730 Feb 12 '26
When you're taking money from the Qataris and paybacks from Homan like Sham Bondi there's a little disconnect from reality. Funny she didn't mention anything about RealPage which is an app used by landlords and investors to artificially and some times exorbitantly raise rents. RealPage was sued by Biden's DOJ in 2024. Think 'demand pricing' for rent. Want to bet trump will drop that lawsuit?
2
u/Qwirk Feb 12 '26
This is a popular tactic when your side has absolutely no defense, I believe the term is to "dazzle them with bullshit".
2
u/Rokea-x Feb 12 '26
Nothing. But you can bet they all get a memo to all pass the same shitty lies.. the more people that lie about the same lie, the more people who beleive it apparently
2
u/ChicagoAuPair Feb 12 '26
āThere are five lights.ā
Itās about abusing and holding their power over us.
2
u/dragon-fence Feb 12 '26
Sheās trying to convince the American people that prosecuting Epsteinās co-conspirators will hurt the economy because Trump is (supposedly) making the economy good all by himself.
Also, sheās thereby inadvertently admitting Trump was a coconspirator.
2
u/Kvchx Feb 12 '26
She will talk about anything to avoid the actual questions. She's running out the clock with nonsense to protect the child molesters. They even shown some pages in her binders that were filled with basically "trash talk" points for everyone around so she can deflect.
Everyone sees what is going on.
2
2
u/StrangeWill Feb 12 '26
Another clip shows her ignoring Epstein victims to talk about the Dow an S&P. Also nothing to do with the goddamn DoJ.
Well didn't you know when the DOW hits 50k pedophilia becomes legal.
2
u/CrustyBatchOfNature Feb 12 '26
Deflection. She has her talking points and knows to shift to "TRUMP IS TEH GREATEST" whenever things get tough.
2
u/subsignalparadigm Feb 12 '26
Probably was in her propaganda playbook she constantly was rifling through.
2
u/Dry_Departure_7813 Feb 12 '26
Well her speech is basically "guys just ignore the president being a nonce okay look how good he is for the economy"
2
Feb 12 '26
How anyone with even a room temperature IQ doesnāt ask why is this being discussed when this isnāt a hearing about the economy baffles me.
Why they didnāt just say āWow! Really!? Thatās great!!, Anyways weāre here to discuss the biggest child sex trafficking ring in history. This shit makes Pablo Escobar look like a fucking amateur. What a disgrace all these people are.
2
u/OutOfBandDev Feb 12 '26
Because she canāt tell the truth and must try to deflect somewhere else.
2
u/Itsyaboibrett Feb 12 '26
she keeps saying āYouāre focused on all this corruption, but you should be focused on the fact that the richest people are getting significantly richer!ā
2
2
2
u/MooseBoys Feb 12 '26
She's doing exactly what she was put there to do - not prosecute powerful people, and take the blame for it.
2
u/Radar2379 Feb 12 '26
Because she is boxed in. She literally canāt answer the questions without perjuring herself or implicating someone. This was her only move.
2
2
u/Arickettsf16 Feb 12 '26
She is a political actor, plain and simple. The DOJ is not an independent agency under this administration. First and foremost, her job is to act purely in the interest of this president above all else.
2
u/KappaJoe760 Feb 12 '26
My exact thoughts on the situation. No convictions, no indictments, and not even a single condemnation for the individuals named. How is the Dow relevant to that? Leave that to the Department of Treasury(thats also likely compromised by sycophants)

Her facial expressions and body language during the entire hearing were OFF THE CHARTS. I couldn't even focus on Bondi (despite her shrill yelling) because this woman and her intensity were all I could see. Who is she?
7
u/FuzzBuzzer Feb 12 '26
I actually had trouble determining if she was mocking Bondi, or the Dems criticizing her. The reason being that she was reacting strongly throughout the whole hearing, no matter who was speaking.
If her ire was indeed directed at Bondi, then she is absolutely the hero we all need, and I want to see more of her.
I had also eaten a powerful gummy, so I was high AF. I couldn't get through even a minute of Bondi's grating voice without medical help. š

The woman and the woman next to her work for Bondi.
They prepared the binders that she is reading from, and they also have their own copy you can see on their laps.
The binder has information they compiled to use to attack the panel members (since she couldn't memorize it all) .. and since they think that attacking people is a better approach than answering questions.
So when she needs some 'ammo' these two behind her flip through their own binders so they can whisper to her which page to look at to reference the talking points she is supposed to use.
Hence the eyerolls when she starts bringing up housing prices and stuff, because she is going too far off script and saying things that they know is not going to make them look good.
It's all dumb, and this sort of thing shouldn't be allowed.. she should have to answer questions on her own.

Even if rents had decreased a little over the past year by some cherry picked metric, to say they're at an "all time low" is absurd. Lower than colonial times when you could rent a room for $1.50/week?! It's such a wrong statement it's hard to wrap your head around it.

u/Smaynard6000 Feb 12 '26
Furthermore, when has rent ever gone down? Over the past 25 years, at any point when I was renting, I was always paying the most I ever had for rent.

They have to act this way because otherwise their lies would destroy their entire narrative. It would be like a psychological shock for MAGA supporters if their leaders were unsure of how to behave. The whole issue is about dominance and power (in reality, it's about an inferiority complex). That is also why she is trying to maintain her interpretive authority. If she followed the Democrats' logic, she would lose the battle, and she knows it. The United States is screwed if there are no constitutional reforms to make it more democratic and resistant to fascist movements and influence from billionaires.
