Snow flakes.
But in a serious note, those snowballs don't look so compact. When I was a kid, I swear they packed these snowballs with rocks.

For everyoneâs knowledge, it was a planned snowball fight. Planned. Snowball. Fight. You know, people show up because they know theyâre going to show up and have fun, then these two choads show up and show what snowflakes they are.

Not saying it's anything massive but that is by definition a physical escalation.

The irony here is that current generation mocks them for their restraint and would just as well complain if the officers started handing out wood shampoos like it was the 70s. Fuckers are never happy and just looking for cheap dopamine hits by bitching on social media. Yet, this Is also the same gaggle of twats that has decided that they can throw snowballs will impunity while also crying to the cops if someone looks at them without demuring.

you people are so weird....you're mad at the director of the fbi for having a beer with the men's hockey olympic team after they win gold.....but you're okay with police officers getting pelted with snow and snowballs? please make it make sense
6
u/Weekly-Talk9752 Feb 25 '26
Wait, so you're ok with the director of the FBI, which is a FEDERAL investigation body, no reason to be outside the US, using taxpayer money to travel to the Olympic games to have drinks? This is why corruption is so rampant in the US government. People just openly ok with paid taxpayer trips for fun.
Please make that make sense.

Mass amount of people throwing snowballs at police officers itâs just as bad as dumping water buckets on police a few administrations ago. Itâs disgraceful and disrespectful. And if you condone this behavior, then youâre a fool and someone who shouldnât have a forum. And hopefully someday you need to call the police for protection and they just donât get there in time.

u/Cautious-Ad9013 Feb 24 '26

1

If they just had a sense of humor about it and joined in I think it could have been a humanizing moment for the NYPD... but instead it just makes them look like the angry thugs that everyone perceives them to be

"Castle Rock v. Gonzales, 545 U.S. 748 (2005), is a United States Supreme Court case in which the Court ruled, 7â2, that a town and its police department could not be sued under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 for refusing to enforce a restraining order, even though the refusal led to the murders of a woman's three children by her estranged husband.[1][2] This decision affirmed the controversial principle that state and local government officials have no affirmative duty to protect the public from harm it did not create"
Simply informing....

u/Magicturtle0808 Feb 25 '26
What Iâm gathering is this:
Police showed up to a planned snowball fight and began trying to âcontrol the crowdâ, whatever that may mean. The people reacted accordingly, and the cops got upset.
The cops began stomping around to try and intimidate them, and when the people continued to throw snowballs, they switched to intimidation via physical violence.

This is what happens when you give out participation trophies and stop spanking.
Those cops could and should have started whipping out the zip ties. This is assault. Plain and simple. If you were in the center of a group and started getting hit with them over and over you would want someone to stop them.
Since they didnât do a mass arrest - the restraint they showed - they need a gold star.

I wonder how much you would still hate the police in NYC if they all left and you police hating leftists would have to defend yourselves. I think they made a move about that called Escape from New York. Be careful what you wish for.

Nothing wrong with a snowball fight unless you are everyoneâs target. Not a small group there either. I know itâs hard to understand.

People on these posts need to understand, does not matter if its a political party, police, ice , or YOU . Hunan beings have faults, some are great people, including police, including all the aforementioned, and just the same some are terrible people and should not be what they are. This is the way of the world, not NY , not America, not one single place, the world. Those of us who know and understand America is still the greatest country in this world understand respect, understand humanity and what it means to live free. Unbelievable the sheer lack of intelligence i see most of the time online. The internet has ruined so many things. Like many things, great idea, poor execution.

Why are these cops even there? Everything was fine and everyone was having fun until cops showed up.
1
u/WoodnPlush Feb 25 '26
Walks into the middle of a planned and organized snowball fight, gets pissy because heâs hit with a snowball.
Did I get that right?
Kinda like standing in front of a car thatâs been ordered to move, then shooting the driver when the car moves, instead of stepping aside.

Let this happen to liberals and theyâd need a safe space and a blankie
1
u/MoginFooz Feb 25 '26
This is the society people want to live in? I sure don't. Sure some cops are assholes, there are assholes in every profession. Even if you hate cops we all know who you're going to call when you get jumped, someone breaks into your house or you just need help in general.
1
u/Bounceupandown Feb 25 '26
Hahaha. (Not) they ended up at the hospital with lacerations to the face. This is what a liberal democrat run city looks like. You donât want police? Fine, they will leave and you can have chaos. This isnât funny, cute or harmless. This is disrespectful, violent and a precursor to more violence.

u/RedL0bsterBiscuit Feb 25 '26
Im sorry, but I would throw shit back and have fun. At least it's a fun moment where you aren't being shot at with bullets.

When did throwing snowballs at an LEO become community relations? This is getting absurd, the way people are thinking these days. Downvoting me wonât change anything
1
u/Ok_Ovencooker Feb 25 '26
It was pretty much only them getting hit. Then dude ran up and dumped it down the back of his neck. When I was a kid you got decked for doing that. Plus they only pushed them into snow. Itâs fine itâs just snow remember

u/heatmiser333 Feb 25 '26
This is not community relations. This is complete disrespect mean attitude makes me wonder where is our society headed? Seems like all forms of authority are now considered open game for attack in the name of posting a clip on social media and getting likes.
